Chapter 6: what's next?

Alex's P.O.V:

The party is starting to die down, but seen that it has helped Carter to be around friends and family. She finally acting like herself...any other time I would say that was not good thing, but mopping depressed Carter was getting on my nerves.

My mom comes up to me hugging me tight, as she smiles fixing my hair. "We better get going, the twins are half asleep. We love what you two did with---"

I interrupt her quickly, "me I did most of the living room." I laugh at bit.

"Well of course you did" My mom laughs. "I'll let you know when I have a break from the set and we can meet for lunch.

"Yea that sounds good." I slowly look at Scott from across the room who made his way with the boys to the door as I looked back at my mother. I don't know what but seems like something is going on between them, they barley said two words to each other through the whole party, and thats not like them.

Hannah and Maddie break my train of thought as they come running to hug me.

"This would be such an awesome sleepover place." Maddie blurts out

"Maddie, think that should be more of a question." Ashley responded.

Looking at my little sister, who really wasn't so little now, I smile at them looking at mom. "Oh you know I love spending time with these girls." Just as finish my sentence little Jack comes running jumping on my back.

"And what about mee!" Jack says blasting in my ear.

I laugh helping him down. "Yes of course, a big family sleepover."

"YAY!!!" Jack screams.

"Ok ok but not tonight maybe were plan ahead. But now we have to go." Says Ashley as she points to Scott for Jack to go with him. "You know that is a lot of work."

"Yea but I have been missing them, and with summer coming up, it'll be good" I smile as I hug them all once more as they head out.

"ALEXANDRIA! You weird clones are looking for you!" Carter screams from the kitchen as she walks towards me with Chloe and Carly following.

"Excuse you, were not clones." Carly barks at her.

Walking up to them hugging the girls, I look at Carter then them. "She's just been in a mood don't listen to her."

Carter rolls her eyes as she walks back to join Taylor.

"So Alex this is really nice place but we have to get going." Chloe says as Mitchel comes wrapping his arms around me.

"Yea I am getting pretty sleepy babe." He says as he kisses me.

"So when are you two just going to make it official." Carly says as she smiles at me.

"What?" Mitchell says looking at Carly.

"Nothing! They are just leaving" I said as I walk them to the door waving.

Everyone else began leaving as we all cleaned up getting ready for bed. I pulled my blankets back as I set in bed and pondered. Mitchel kissed my sholder laying his head down on it.

"Babe was is the matter." He looked up at me.

I look at him. I don't really know, just fact like my best friend, Demi Lovato, didn't come tonight. And yea I know she has her Isabella to take care of and her and Joe are trying to work it out. But they were all invited and Isabella,Blake and Dylan get along so well.

"Alexandria, you can tell me." Mitchel says as he sits up grabbing my hands.

I began. "It's just... I hope Demi is ok, she told me earlier they would be here tonight."

"Maybe something came up, come on lets get some sleep." He says laying me down as he turns the light off."

I lay awake staring at the ceiling as I suddenly hear a knock at the door. Who could that be at 10 at night, I wondered as I began getting up as I hear Carter beating me to the door hearing voices but can't really make it out I walk to the door way.

"Alex it's for you" Carter says as she leaves the door open walking back to her room. "To late for all this."

I make my way to door looking as I stare through door way. As I seem my friend, the girl I was just thinking about with little seven year older arms around her neck. You know what, you say always get that feeling when someone is on your mind when something is up.

"I know it's late but can we just crash here for the night." Demi began with her eyes red from crying.

I grab her bags helping her in. "Here you two can take my room, me and Mitchel will take the couch."

"NO, No were fine with the couch." She stated.

"No" I insisted. "Your the guest." I take Isabella as I lead them to room telling Mitchel.
