-Tsuna's room-

-Narrator pov-

It had been three weeks since their mother's 'incident' and nothing had gotten better. The fridge was stocked with alcohol all the time and Nana was almost always drunk of her ass.

Tsuna was with his brother in his room when they heard her slam her door and stop towards his room. Realizing that she was coming for him, Tsuna grabbed his brother and shoved him in the closet.

"Hika-nii, I need you to stay in here no matter what okay?" waiting for his brother's answer, he started to close the door. "B-but, Tsu-nii..." Hikaru tried to stop Tsuna but knew that when he had that look in his eyes, arguing was pointless. What Tsuna didn't know was that he left the door slightly cracked open and his brother could see everything.

Hearing his mother get to the door, Tsuna took in a deep breath and prepared himself for what he knew was coming. The door slammed open, startling him and the twin hiding in the closet.

"THERE YOU ARE!" his mother said while slurring every word. She approached him and he backed up, obviously terrified by the woman in front of him. Hikaru was shaking in the closet with tears starting to fall. He hated this and just wanted to stop it all. His brother was already covered in bruises and cuts from the last beating, and they were both starting to have horrible and realistic nightmares. But still, he couldn't do anything; his brother told him that no matter how much he wanted to help, he wasn't aloud, and Hikaru always listened to his brother's words.

So he just sat crying and watching from the closet as his mother grabbed Tsuna by the throat and held him in the air. Tsuna was scratching and hitting her arm to let go but Nana just smiled and laughed. "This is what you get you ungrateful little brat." she said slurring her words again.

With surprising strength, their mother threw Tsuna to the wall to her left. Tsuna's body slammed against the wall with a yelp.

Nana had thoroughly beaten her son and left shakily to gather more alcohol, leaving Tsuna unconscious.

Noticing his mother was gone, Hikaru slammed the door open and bolted towards his sleeping brother. "Tsuna?! C'mon, wake up!" he said hovering over his brother. But then, he suddenly felt an unbearable pain in his head. His eyes as wide open as they could go and tears escaping them, he clutched his head in pain and started screaming.

Tsuna's eyes slowly fluttered open and he woke up to his brother screaming at the top of his lungs uncontrollably. "Hika-nii!!" he yelled as he bolted up into a sitting position next to his brother, ignoring the pain all over his body.

"What is it!? What's wrong!?" Hikaru didn't hear his brother's words as his sight was taken over by darkness. Leaving his brother to hold him while trying to wake him up.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hikaru's eyes fluttered open as tried to remember what happened. 'Where am I, and where's Tsu-nii?' he thought as he sat up from laying down. He was outside on a large field of bright, green grass. There was nothing but grass for miles and it only seemed to stop where the sky met the ground. He looked up to see a beautiful blue sky with small patches of clouds in it.

Now standing, Hikaru looked around trying to find his brother, or really anything for that matter.

"You're finally awake." he heard a voice say. Hikaru jumped a little from being startled by the voice, then turned around to where the voice came from. But as soon as he laid eyes upon the speaker, his jaw dropped as he stared.

'I-it's me?! Wait, no... his eyes...' the figure in front of him was almost an exact copy of him, only, his eyes  were completely black and terrifying.

Gathering up his courage, Hikaru spoke to the clone, "Who are you? A-and, where am I?"

"You're in your mind, can't you tell?" the figure walked up to a shocked Hikaru and put out his hand. "Nice to finally meet you, I'm your hatred that you refuse to acknowledge, but you can call me Toki."

"Wait, what? Anger? At what?" -Hikaru

"Well, what else your brother." -Toki

"Whoa, wait, I'm not mad at Tsu-nii!" -Hikaru

"Oh but you are~ you just refuse to acknowledge it like I said before." -Toki

Hikaru was starting to get angry. What did this 'Toki' guy know about him and his brother anyway?

"What do you mean? I have nothing to be mad at him about." -Hikaru

"Well you don't seem to know so I guess I'll have to tell you. *sigh* ever since your mother's first 'incident', you've secretly been thinking of how unfair it is that you're brother was why you've never met your dad since birth. Even if you don't realize it, you just want to be an only child with two loving parents but because of your little brother, you have a messed up mother and an absent father. Not to mention you hate that you're always thought to be the younger brother." -Toki

Hikaru stood there shocked with tears strolling down his eyes. It was true, all of it. He still loved his brother but he had been having confusing feelings towards him for a while now. Feelings of anger, hate, etc... But he just shoved them all to the back of his mind until they festered in to Toki.

"There it is~ you know it's true don't you? Now all that is left to do is to embrace those feelings, or more specifically, embrace me~" Hikaru was now on the ground in tears, covering his face and trembling. Toki crouched down in front of him and started to hug him. "Don't worry, just let me take over~"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tsuna had laid his brother down on his bed to rest and was now sitting by his side worrying. He noticed his eyes moving around under his lids, meaning was probably about to wake up. "Hika-nii!" he sad as his twin's eyes slowly fluttered open. "You're awake! Are you alright?!" all of Tsuna's questions were left unanswered as his brother sat up with his hair covering his eyes and spoke.

"Don't sound so happy, you're the one that ruined Hikaru's life." Tsuna just stayed there with a look of confusion; those words didn't sound like his brother's. "Hika-nii, what do you me-" Tsuna was stopped mid-sentence by a small hand, almost the same size as his, slapped him in the face.

"Don't call me that! You're not the brother of me or Hikaru!" the blonde said with his hair still covering his eyes. The brunette was shocked and sat there holding his freshly struck cheek with tears staining his face. "W-what do you mean... me OR Hikaru?"

All Tsuna could see was his 'brother's' mouth curl up into a grin. The blonde looked up and over to his brother, revealing his eyes. "Well with how you left him, I had to take over~."
