Today was one Christie off days so she could relax and chill for the next three days doing nothing as she normally does expect bother her sister all day.
Their mother passed away from cancer two years ago and it was very difficult for them to get through. Aaliyah had no where to stay so Christie had to step up at the age of 18 and take care of her 15 year old sister at the time so now she lives rent free in her sister's home two years later.
I walked down the stairs after doing my morning routine noticing house was peaceful just the way I liked it.
"Liyah must be at work no way in hell the house is this quiet" I said walking into the kitchen preparing to make myself breakfast.
Grabbing all the supplies and pans I was going to need to make my favorite a bacon egg and cheese sandwich until my phone dinged.
Making me stop and grab my phone. My phone was always dry so I be surprised when I get notifications but I liked it dry honestly.
Checking my phone the notification came from insta again. It was the random girl she followed yesterday and it surprised her kinda.

Christie opens her front door looking around because she was honestly was spooked out a little from the girl response.

Christie looked at the text closing and locking her door walking over to the couch to sit down.

Christie decided to snap back and texted

Christie didn't reply back and headed back to the kitchen to make her afternoon breakfast.

"NEXT" I semi yelled
I was working at Cinnabon in the mall I loved my job honestly only because I could take leftovers home with me which me and cha cha would eat them like there wasn't a tomorrow.
I laughed just thinking about it
"What can I get for you today?" I said looking up at the boy.
He looked down at Aaliyah before saying his order.
"lemme get uh two number fours please" he said not looking away from Aaliyah.
"o- of course that will be $8.15" she stuttered
He handed her a $20
"Keep the change ma" he said
Aaliyah couldn't lie he was very attractive to her in every way possible but she had to remember that she was at work and think about work appropriate things only.
"Here you go sir have a nice day" she said handing him the bag putting napkins and a fork inside for him.
"You to" he said smiling at Aaliyah before walking away.
Aaliyah exhaled holding her chest not knowing she was holding her breath the whole time.
She walked to the back grabbing her phone realizing she got off in 5 mins.
Aaliyah was to happy grabbing her things and saying goodbye to her coworkers before exiting out the back door waiting for her sister to pick her up.
After waiting 10 minutes her sister finally pulls up hooking the horn at Aaliyah to get in.
"Take you long enough" Aaliyah said getting in the car closing passenger door resting her head onto the window.
"my bad, you hungry?" Christie said looking over at her sister.
"yeah can we get canes please?" Aaliyah asked
Christie nodded her head heading to the destination.

I was almost done cleaning up that house. Even though Aaliyah lives here rent free we take turns doing certain things to make things way easier around the house and it was my turn to clean.
Walking to the kitchen I saw a few dishes in the sink so I cleaned them, wiped down the counters , swept and etc.
I told Aaliyah goodnight before entering my room but no telling if she heard me she be glued to the tv watching that baddies south? west ? man who cares.
