After Brent was freed from the hospital everyone decided he should get a refresher of what's happened since. Vernias was first as he decided to give him and the others a tour in his hometown city. The VERN NATION itself. In California.
"Here we are!" Vernias shouts as him and the other three look out at the pinkest city in the world. "Hold on, Vernias you LIVED here?!" Sophist said in shock. "Yup! The Vern Nation! Named after me of course." Vernias said with a proud smile on his face. "You threw away a city named after you for some building in New York? You really are an idiot sometimes." Nick said crossing his arms. "Hey! That's not very nice!" Vernias argues. "Bro if I had a city named after me I'd keep it over NYC cause I'm very smart and sexy, unlike Vern over here." Nick says mockingly. "HEY! My sexiness has nothing to do with a city!" Vernias shouts. "Can you two stop? I just want to see the city guys." Brent begs, clearly tired after the events of Chapter 2. "Ugh.. Fine, but only for you Brent, now let's go!" Vernias says running down the hill into the city. "NOT IF I GET THERE FIRST VERNIAS!" Nick shouts to Vernias and starts running towards him. "Well Eevee I guess you and I are the only normal one-" Brent turns his head to Eevee.. only to see that he's left and is now somewhere else. "Oh." Brent says under his breath.
Once Nick, Vernias and Brent are all at the entrance of the city the real tour begins. "Welcome! To THE VERN NATION!" Vernias announces proudly. The city buildings are pink, the streets are pink, the sky is a light tint of pink. "Seeing it up close I can tell you must have liked it here Vern." Brent says, looking at the scenery. "Stop. Calling. Me. Vern." Vernias says with an upset look on his face. "Wait why?" Brent asks, looking back to Vernias. "Cause only I get to call him that right Vern?" Nick asks with a smirk. "NO. It's not the fact that you call me Vern it's cause YOU say it as an insult!!" Vernias shouts at his face. "No I don't Vernias, it's because you can't see how beautiful the nickname Vern really is!" Nick says, putting a hand on Vernias' face. "What the fuck." Brent says, looking at the horror of Nick's big smile and glint in his eye while looking at Vernias. "Nick." Vernias says. "Yeah Vern?" Nick asks in response. "Can you get your hand off my face?" Vernias asks politely. "This is what I get for being nice?!" Nick says in frustration, quickly letting his hand go. "That's not being nice Nick, that's being.. weird." Brent explains vaguely. "Whatever Brent. Let's just start this torture." Nick says crossing his arms again. "Okay, okay, let's start.. THE TOUR!" Vernias shouts opening the gates to The Vern Nation.
Many people were wandering around, all with smiles on their faces, happy to be part of The Vern Nation. Brent and Nick were walking whilst Vernias introduced every single area like it's a big thing. "This is the Kirby area, then there's the Uprising area, then the Birdo area." Vernias kept going as the three walked through the 'amazing' place.
"I can't believe I missed out on all of this when I was in Canada.." Brent expressed sadly. "Trust me Brent, you didn't miss anything, Vernias wasn't even in The Vern Nation. He was busy torturing people." Nick said in a serious tone which caught Brent off guard. "Wait really? I thought you guys were joking about that." Brent asked. "Well we weren't, Vernias left me and Eevee all alone by ourselves for a year since he was too busy living his new life." Nick told him. Vernias stopped in his tracks when he heard Nick and Brent's passing conversation. "I already said I was sorry." Vernias said, his tone shifted from bubbly to serious. "I know Vernias, I was just telling Brent about why you didn't live here anymore." Nick cleared. "You don't know anything. You act like you do because we're friends but if you saw what I saw you'd be doing the EXACT same thing." Vernias says sternly. "Hey Vern, calm down I didn't mean it like that!" Nick tried to speak but Vernias shut him up. "I can't calm down! I lost everything. You wouldn't understand." Vernias panicked while he spoke. "Vernias.." Brent whispered and looked worried. Vernias continued to talk as he had tears in his eyes, Nick tried to calm him down but he couldn't get through to him. "Vern please-" Nick tried again. "STOP IT. MY NAME IS VERNIAS!!" Vernias shouted back. The light pink in the sky turned grey and the residents of The Vern Nation looked mortified as they watched in fear their leader, who hadn't been seen in 4 years, who had finally came back, who's motto was always 'friendship prevails!', who was never like this before, who's name isn't Vernias, was yelling at his closest friends. The residents of The Vern Nation needed a hero to save them right now.
Grey clouds soon filled up in the sky and towered over the city. "Nick a storm's gonna start!" Brent shouted, stepping back looking for a place to hide. "Ah! Vernias! We need to hide!" Nick screamed out. "NO. YOU'VE MADE ME MAD FOR THE FINAL TIME!" Vernias yelled back to Nick. "Now, you'll pay!!" Vernias shouted. "Oh fuck.." Nick muttered under his breath, this looked like the end for him and Brent, being killed right in front of Vernias's City, dying by Vernias himself.. their friend. Brent closed his eyes, bracing for impact. He wasn't just going to let Nick die because of this but he didn't have the physical strength to take on Vernias. His whole life flashed, his brother, his mother, his games, his friends. Then as if fate itself was right in front of him he saw Noah, where was he? Is he going to die too? Will he just live and tell the story of this terrifying day? Then out of nowhere.. a voice was heard, a loud one.
"I CAST THUNDER SPELL!!"
*CRASH*
Brent's eyes opened, he looked up. It was Eevee and he had cast a spell of thunder onto Vernias. Screams were heard and trees were crashed. Vernias passed out onto the floor as a burn mark was stained onto his forehead. "Vernias!" Nick ran over to him, instantly pulling out his phone to call 911. "Yes? It's my friend, he got struck by.. The thunder spell" Nick was heard in the distance as Sophist floated to the ground, facing directly to Brent. "Eevee.. what was that?" Brent asked. "I didn't think it'd work but it did. It's a long story, trust me Vernias is safe I had to do that to save him from some kind of darkness inside of him. When we were at the hill some kind of force blew me away from you guys and well.. I'll explain the rest when we're on our way to the hospital." Noah says. "Okay, I guess now we just wait in the cold rain?" Brent asks, rain pours down onto them. "Yep, which is perfect for me!" Sophist says as the camera pans out through The Vern Nation, the state of California as it cuts to pitch black darkness.
