Evelynn Sheffield
The Last Living Sheffield

𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐀'𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌, Evelynn couldn't help but reminisce on the other dozens of times that she had been inside the room.

Going back to before Thea had even been born, when the room was just another amongst the many in the mansion, however before she could truly reminisce her eyes quickly landed on Thea.

The very owner of the bedroom standing in front of her desk, her school outfit partially shifted to look more revealing despite the dress code Evelynn knew the posh rich people school would infuse.

"Nice outfit," She commented more serious than joking, given the fact that she'd done a similar thing when she was in high school. "you know I can just get them resown shorter?"

As she asked Evelynn could only raise her eyebrows as she walked closer to the teen and her vanity desk, even pausing in order to look over her newly applied makeup.

"Really," Thea asked in a mix of amusement, disbelief, and shock having expected her older friend to react in a similar that her older brother did; yet she should've known Evelynn would be cool about it. "why did I never think of that?"

As Thea asked herself this question aloud, Evelynn couldn't help but chuckle as she stood up straight again from looking in the mirror.

Instead choosing to turn towards Thea with a small smile on her face as she took in the comical expression of the young teen, honestly missing the time the two had spent together in the same way Thea did.

"Because you were always the goody-two-shoes," Evelynn commented again jokingly as she remembered the pig-tail wearing Thea, who would follow around her and Oliver. "can't say the same about now."

As she finished her joke she couldn't help but look Thea up and down again, looking over just how much she'd grown over the past few years, especially the past few months they'd spent without contacting each other.

Yet Thea didn't know that Evelynn was simply feeling nostalgic.

"Why do you say that?" The young woman asked a bit to quickly as her chest seized in, fear coursing through her as she'd though Evelynn had found out her secret.

Despite it not being an addiction yet, Thea Queen had been partaking in rather hard drugs unbeknownst to her family and a small portion of the friends she still talked too.

"The skirt, remember?" Evie spoke with an awkward smile and furrowed eyebrows, not having expect the rushed reaction to come spewing out of the girl she thought of as a sister.

"Right-right," Thea attempted to blow off the situation with a chuckle, before she quickly grabbed her backpack from her desk chair and quickly slinging it over her shoulder. "so can you give me a ride to school?"

Almost immediately at the young teen's question, Evelynn couldn't help the large smile/smirk that came over her face, as this was the reason she'd come up stairs.

"Why'd you think I came up here?" She asked with a small giggle, happy that Thea had nearly the same idea as she had, which is why she'd already asked Mrs. Queen if she could take the teen to school.

However hearing her question the look on Thea's face fell slightly, the teen having expected something entirely different when she saw Evie walk in the room.

"To say goodbye..." Thea spoke lowly as she sadly glanced down at the hardwood floors, not meaning to be so blunt but the drugs currently flowing through her system clouded her judgment. "again."

And with the somber tone in the teen's voiced the already fading smile on Evelyn's face fell, replaced with a smaller guilty and apologetic grimace.

The woman knowing she'd just about abandoned the Queen Family after Oliver's disappearance, under the guise of reinventing herself yet she always swore she'd be back.

Sadly it'd been months since she'd sworn that and she did try to reach out, but lives move on pass the kind messages here and there.

Especially for those who become the center of media attention, even more so when they want to keep that general attention.

"I'm not going anywhere for a while Thea." Evelynn spoke assuredly as she took a step toward the young teen, not wanting to be misunderstood.

Despite the circumstances, she was more than glad to be back in her hometown along with some of the most important people to her.

Not only for Oliver and the nostalgia, but the chance to reconnect with those she'd lost physical touch with.

However Thea wasn't a mind reader, but was was used to coming second for her older brother.

"Because Oliver's here?" She asked solemnly glanced at the ground with a sniffle of her nose, the drugs she'd taken earlier still effecting her at the moment.

"Not entirely," Evelyn spoke truthfully as she tipped her head, given Oliver was a big part of the reason she had came back, but not the entire reason.  "I did miss you Thea, I just got busy out there."

As she finished speaking she hesitated with reaching out, wanting to physically comfort the teen but not knowing if it was welcomed or not.

"Being a superstar," Thea chuckled trying to lighten the mood, used to running from emotions and changing the subject. "how was movie making?"

As she asked she ran her fingers against her wood desk, the need to move and twiddle her fingers another effect of the drugs in her system.

Although that was unknown to Evelynn, whose smile grew a bit larger hoping to break past the tense outer shell that Thea had put up.
