Hangman's POV:

I scoop Clutch back into my arms as Rooster and I run into the building. A nurse, I'm guessing the same one that answered the phone, takes us into a room and I lay Clutch down on the bed.

I step back and let her take charge. She starts to hook Clutch up to machines.

"Alright her vitals are stable, and nothing is physically wrong or worrying me which is good. She most likely lost consciousness due stress. You mentioned her zoning out?" She says turning to look at me.

"Yea she would zone out, like almost freeze, then kind of snap back to reality then fade out again" I say probably too quickly to understand but she nods none the less.

She takes out and iPad and taps away for a minute or two.

"That's good, it's good that you're observant. Has anything like this ever happened before? Her records are clear of anything of the sort" She questions again.

I look at her blankly.

To my knowledge no. She's always been, bright, bubbly and confident. But God to she her in that state, it scared the crap out of me.

"She's had flashbacks before." Rooster says behind me.

We both snap our heads to look at him.

"More when she was younger though. I guess we thought she outgrew them over time." Rooster continues.

"Ok that's good to know. When would you say they stopped? Or thought they stopped?" She asks sincerely.

"The last I would probably say when she was 19 20 maybe? But it's been a good few years" He nods.

I look back over at Clutch. She looks peaceful led there as if she didn't fall limp in my arms just 20 minutes ago.

"And has she ever lost consciousness after? Even felt faint?" The doctor asks again.

"Not that I know of. I think this is a first." He says calmly.

"It could be the stress of being back a Top Gun and the big mission as-well as this. It's more than likely that it brought back memories. She just needs some good rest and she'll be just fine." She smiles at us.

I can just make out the name tag sewn into her uniform.

Lieutenant Rivadulla
             'doc'

"I can still fly tomorrow right?" Clutch's weak voice startling all of us.

"That's what you're thinking about?!" Rooster laughs easing the tension.

"What?" She asks her smile equally as weak as her voice.

My God her voice. It's so angelic. I could swim in a symphony of it for hours. She just so beautiful. She's perfect.

"Maybe not tomorrow morning but as for the afternoon, if! You take it easy, you'll be cleared to fly" Doc says to her.

Her smile widens.

There's the clutch I love.

I love.

TIME SKIP - NEXT DAY

CLUTCH'S POV:

I'm sat in the briefing room with the radio in front of me and a pen and paper in hand.

I'm listening to the training over the intercoms and taking notes as I look out the window.

Mav' asked, more like ordered, me to right down pros and cons to each pilot and their abilities. Abilities of flight and communication.
