(If you didn't know, Seradae has the healing ability in recode)

Tidepool sat by the Pride Rocks shore, lounging around as the sunlight hit his fur and scales. His sky blue scales and fur seemed to glimmer under the gentle light of the morning sun. He had a pile of clams near him that he had collected while swimming around, and he slowly popped them into his mouth. It was a peaceful day in Sonaria, for once. He could bask in the sun for hours and snack on clams. Peace at last... He thought to himself as he cracked open another clam in his claws.

As he continued to relax, he noticed something slowly moving towards him in the deeper part of the water. He couldn't get a good glimpse at the creature, but he could tell it was something around his size. Great, something comes to ruin the peace...

Tidepool took a few steps back from the shore, watching the shadow carefully as it snaked closer to the sand. He unsheathed his claws, ready in case he was threatened.

There was a splash, and the mystery creature threw themselves onto the shore. It was an Auraron. They had the usual black body coloring, but their glowy spots were a bright pastel yellow instead of blue, and their spikes were a vibrant orange hue. Their breathing was panicked and they had claw marks all over.

Tidepool stumbled backwards in surprise, letting out a startled snarl. The Auraron looked up, their expression pained. "Sorry for bothering you-" They squeaked, backpedaling a little. They then seemed to realize that Tidepool was a Seradae. "Um...could you heal me...?" They said quietly to the point where it was almost a whisper.

Tidepool shrugged. "I mean, sure." He channeled some healing energy for a few seconds, before sinking his fangs into the Auraon's flesh. Slowly, their wounds began to close up, and after a minute, they were all gone.

"Thanks." The Auraron muttered, before turning back towards the water. They seemed very nervous as they stepped into the water again, the little waves lapping against their legs. They sighed, before beginning to swim away. "Wait!" Tidepool called, and the Auraron turned to them. "What's your name? I'm Tidepool."

"I'm Amber!" The Auraron called back before slipping under the surface. Tidepool watched them leave, a curious expression on his face.

The next few days, Tidepool went about his business as normal, but for whatever reason, that Auraron wouldn't get out of his head. Though he had to admit, they were a little cute.

Tidepool sat by the shore again, lazily munching on clams as usual. He yawned, looking up at the pink sunset sky. A tiny little part of him hoped that Amber would return.

He saw something moving in the water out of the corner of his eye. Oh?

Sure enough, there was a splash, and out of the water came Amber. "Hey." They said quietly, and Tidepool waved, since his mouth was full of clam meat. He noticed Amber seemed to be holding something in their claw. "What's that?" He asked, looking down at it.

"Oh yeah, about that." Amber mumbled. "As a thanks for healing me, I decided to give you this." Amber said, holding out their claw and opening it to reveal a shimmering pearl. Tidepool gasped a little as Amber handed him the beautiful pearl. He cupped it in his two paws, looking up at Amber gratefully. "Thank you!" He smiled. Amber nodded. "You're welcome." They whispered, before diving into the water again.

Over the next few days, the two of them would meet either at morning or sunset to hang out and chat. Amber finally had someone to rant and vent to, while Tidepool finally had someone to spend time with besides himself.

One day, Amber swam up to Tidepool's basking spot as usual. "I have something I wanna show you." They smiled. Tidepool nodded, and they grabbed his paw and they both dove into the water.

Tidepool slowly began to get nervous as the two of them descended deeper into the ocean. He had never been this deep before, and one of his biggest fears was getting lost in the ocean and drowning. Amber sensed this and squeezed his paw, comforting him just a little.

After a few more minutes of swimming, the two creatures finally reached their destination: An Eigion Warden shrine. There was a statue of an Eigion Warden, frozen in what seemed to be a fierce, roaring position. Tidepool could practically feel the Warden's ferocity vibrating from the statue. He looked towards Amber, and they nodded, as if to say "Impressive, right?"

Tidepool flashed them a smile before grabbing their claw again and beginning to rise to the surface. But then he spotted movement out of the corner of his eye. He whipped around, startled. He couldn't see very well in the depths of the ocean, but he could've sworn he saw something swimming around in the darkness of the deep. He shook his head and continued swimming upwards. Amber seemed uneasy as well. They must've seen it too.

Tidepool began swimming faster, when all of a sudden, something tackled him. He panicked and thrashed his body around, turning to see the attacker. An Arachyu!

Amber panicked as well, darting upwards towards the surface, and Tidepool followed behind. They certainly weren't weak, but there was no way they could take on an Arachyu. The Arachyu angrily shook their claws at the two of them as they dashed away.

They finally arrived back at the shore, panting and terrified. "That was...an experience." Tidepool said through shaky breaths. Amber nodded. "I did like the Eigion shrine, though." Tidepool added, plopping down onto the warm sand.

"That Arachyu...That was the same Arachyu that injured me when we first met." Amber said. Tidepool's eyes widened a little.

"Well, just know that you won't be attacked by them again, as long as I'm around." Tidepool smirked. Amber rolled their eyes. "Yeah, yeah, ya coward." Amber said sarcastically. Tidepool snickered and put his claw on theirs as they watched the sun dip below the horizon.
