Luminescent slithered through the dark abyss that was the deep sea, keeping her eyes peeled, not only looking for prey, but also keeping an eye out for predators, like Kohikii, that could take down a medium-sized Lissiceous like her in one bite of its powerful jaws. Her cyan bioluminescence glowed softly, providing light in what seemed like an empty, dark abyss. She had been thriving in the deep ocean for quite a while now, and even without light, she knew the deep abyss the like back of her own paw. The Lissiceous sensed movement in the water, and her head immediately snapped towards it, spotting a quick blur in the dark. She could barely see it, but was able to tell what it was. A young Nimoona. It would work for a quick snack. She slowly started following the little fish-like creature, cautious not to make any sudden moves and scare them off...

There was a sudden splash, and Luminescent froze, startled. It seemed like the Nimoona got scared as well, as she couldn't sense the little critter anymore. She sighed internally, cursing whatever careless creature scared off her prey. She started swimming a little further up, thinking that she would find more prey closer to the surface, when she suddenly stopped in her tracks. She sensed movement around her in the water, but there weren't any creatures in sight around her. She looked around, concerned. She could feel something moving around her...

As she was about to start swimming away, the Nimoona she was just hunting appeared right in front of her, curled up and seemingly...dead? But it wasn't floating in the water, it was staying in place, as if something was holding it. Lumi would've screamed if she wasn't underwater, but that wasn't, so she simply darted away, shocked. The dead Nimoona still floated eerily in front of her. Lumi stared at it curiously.

Two glowing, pink eyes suddenly came into view, and then a snout, a head, a body, and two wings. Carrying the Nimoona in her jaws was a Fellisio, with slightly dark magenta fur. The Fellisio giggled before quickly scarfing down the Nimoona, before looking back at Lumi, smiling. Lumi frowned, irritated that she had been scared, outsmarted, and had her prey stolen from her by this creature, but she had to admit, they were quite clever.

Lumi was about to swim away, when the Fellisio gestured for Lumi to follow her, their tail wagging happily. Lumi tilted her head slightly. She was a little bit suspicious of the Fellisio, but she decided to follow her anyway. What could happen?

The two creatures swam up to the surface, poking their heads above the water to speak. "Hey there, sorry about stealing your hunt, I was just trying to dip in and get some food quickly! My name's Magenta, but you can call me Mag or Maggie!" Magenta said quickly. Lumi nodded. "I'm Luminescent. You can call me Lumi. Also, it's okay about the Nimoona, I can just find something else."

Mag, however, shook her head. "No, I wanna make it up to you somehow. I know a place where there's always plenty of schools of Nimoona. I can show you!" Mag offered, smiling. "Really? Well, lead the way!" Lumi smirked as Mag darted away with Lumi close behind.

The two creatures chatted on their way to the area, with Lumi confessing her fascination with creatures with invisibility, and how she's always wanted to meet one personally. "Well, now you have!" Mag grinned.

They finally reached the spot, and Lumi was amazed to see ginormous schools of Nimoona swimming around the area. "Be careful, there are other creatures that tend to feast here as well, and they aren't gonna pass up on getting some extra food." Mag warned before they dove back under the surface.

The two of them took turns herding the Nimoona schools, chasing them right into each other's jaws and sticking their heads in to grab bites, while also narrowly dodging the advances of other predators that had come to get their own bite to eat. Even after the two had their fill, they swam around the ocean until the sky had darkened, chatting, racing, and exploring.

All good things come to an end, however, and eventually the two had to split up and return to their own business. They said their byes on the shore as the full moon shined down on them.

"I live by the flower cove sea islands. See you around?" Magenta said, taking Lumi's paw in hers and smiling. "Yeah." Lumi said, as Mag spread her wings and took off into the night sky, her fur twinkling in the moonlight.

Wow. Lumi thought to herself as she watched Magenta fly away, smiling at even the thought of her. What a fascinating creature.
