The next day...
Tangle woke up early and decided to prepare breakfast for Y/N. She quietly made her way to the museum's kitchen and gathered some ingredients. As she cooked, the fragrant aroma of pancakes filled the room, and she smiled to herself, knowing that Y/N would love them.
After finishing breakfast, Tangle made her way back to Y/N's alcove. She peeked inside to find the young fox still sleeping soundly. Tangle gently shook Y/N's shoulder, trying to wake them up.
Tangle: Hey, sleepyhead. Breakfast is ready.
Y/N slowly opened their eyes, rubbing the sleep from them. They looked up at Tangle, their eyes confused on where they are and how they got there.
Tangle smiled at Y/N, trying to reassure them.
Tangle: Good morning, Y/N. You're safe here at the museum. I made some pancakes for breakfast. Do you want to eat with me?
Y/N nodded, still feeling drowsy from their nap. Tangle helped them sit up and handed them a plate of warm, fluffy pancakes.
Y/N looked at the pancakes with curiosity. They sniff them their snout taking in the new smell.
Tangle smiled, delighted to see Y/N's interest in the pancakes.
Tangle: They're pancakes, Y/N. They're a breakfast food. They're sweet and fluffy and delicious. Here, let me show you.
Tangle cut a small piece of the pancake and placed it on a fork. She blew on it gently, making sure it wasn't too hot, before giving it to Y/N to try.
Y/N hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to expect. But as they took a small bite, their face lit up with delight. They eagerly took another bite, savoring the sweet flavors.
Tangle smiled, happy to see Y/N enjoying their meal. As they ate, Tangle looked at their messy greasy hair, the cuts and stains in both their blue hoodie and their shorts. The sparkling on the bottom of their fuzzy winter shoes, most likely broken glass.
Tangle knew that Y/N needed a bath and some fresh clothes. She made a mental note to take care of it after breakfast.
As they ate, Tangle and Y/N talked about their favorite foods, colors, and other topics. Y/N communicated using their notepad while Tangle listened attentively, trying to make them feel comfortable and heard.
After finishing breakfast, Tangle took Y/N to the museum's bathroom, carefully helping them undress and into the warm bath. Y/N looked visibly uncomfortable in the water, almost afraid even.
Tangle noticed Y/N's discomfort and quickly adjusted the temperature to something more comfortable. She then grabbed a washcloth and started gently washing Y/N's fur. She kept talking softly, hoping to soothe Y/N's fears.
