While I was setting up the tea party, I worried a lot. I really liked Alec and I wanted him to be impressed, since he had never been here before. Honestly, even though we were already dating, there were still things I didn't know about him. I had kind of stalked his social media for a little bit trying to find out about him. I was able to simply ask him the most important thing without seeming too suspicious: his favorite tea.

He was going to be at my house in about 10 minutes. I had purposely chosen a time when my parents wouldn't be home so I could be alone with Alec. My parents have been quite overbearing when it comes to dating ever since I came out as bi... I know they have good intentions, but I really want this date to go well, and they might ruin that.

I pulled up to the nicest looking house I have ever seen in my life. Nick is pretty rich... It wasn't a surprise, based on his character. I walked to the door and rang the golden doorbell. A moment later the door opened, and I was greeted with a smiling Nick. "Hello Alec." Nick said. He wasn't showing it, but I could tell he was a little nervous. Was he nervous because he wanted to impress me? I blushed a little at the thought. Nick led me through his massive house that seemed like a labyrinth. He eventually led me through a set of doors that went to a huge library. I stared in awe as we walked through the shelves. The shelves towered above us, nearly reaching the ceiling, which was extremely high on its own. There were probably books in there that wouldn't be touched for decades.

At the back of the library there was a small table with a tea set. "I was trying to figure out what you might like doing but I eventually settled on a tea party." Nick said with an uncharacteristic blush across his face. "This is perfect." I said with a smile, noticing how he had picked my favorite tea for the occasion. Truthfully, I thought the idea was kind of silly, but since it was Nick...

We sat down and started talking over tea. Once Nick saw that I actually liked it, he was reassured and back to his usual self again. We talked for two hours straight. I've never really had this much fun with anyone in my life.

Me and Alec had been talking for a while and I decided to show Alec the surprise I had. I reached to the side and pulled up a few books. "So, when we were at camp, I overheard a conversation you had with Ellie about some of your favorite books and I've never read them so I thought maybe we could read them together." I said hopefully. I looked at Alec and he had the biggest smile on his face. "That would be great." Alec said. I walked him over to a couch in the library and we sat down together. We read a few chapters into the book then Alec said he better get home. "This was fun, we should do it again sometime" Alec said. I looked up and said, "I'd love that!" I walked him out and said goodbye. I had a lot of fun and I look forward to next time.
