Jake's pov

 I was walking through the woods looking for firewood. Ashley sent me to get more since the wood we already had was wet from the rain. I was kind of zoned out until I heard a bush move. I immediately froze and looked around. I didn't see anything at first but suddenly a woodpecker hopped out of a bush and stopped in front of me. I just stared at the woodpecker. It was so close to me, and it wasn't flying away. Usually, birds just fly away as soon as they see people, but this one was just staring at me. As I tried to figure out what was going on I realized that the bird looked a little familiar. It felt like I had seen the woodpecker before. Suddenly I knew where I recognized it from. It was the bird from yesterday's challenge. I thought back to the challenge and how the bird didn't peck at me that much. The bird started to hop towards me and chirp. I hesitated for a second but then kneeled down by the bird and put my arm out. The bird immediately jumped on to my arm. "Umm, hi" I said to the bird. The bird chirped back almost as if it was responding. It seemed like the bird was nice. I was really confused as to why this bird wasn't scared of me. "Do you have a nest to go back to or something?" The bird just hopped further up my arm. "Do you want to come back to camp with me?" The bird chirped and flew to my shoulder. "I'm going to take that as a yes. Let's go!" We started to walk back to camp as I talked to the bird. "I should introduce you to Ashley! Maybe she can help find a name for you!" The bird chirped excitedly. 

an- I love Jake so much and I think a friendship between him, and a bird would be amazing. Comment any name ideas you have for the bird. Personally, I think we should name the bird Skittles.
