Taylor woke up that next morning practically buzzing with excitement. She was texting Joe before she fell asleep telling him that she would be home the next day, since he wrapped filming his new movie yesterday and was on his way back to their shared home. It was a pretty boring and basic conversation and she felt nome of those insane happy giggley smiley feelings that she feels every time she does as much as think of Isa.

She knew she should probably text Isa making sure that they are still on for tonight and that's exactly what she did

Taylor: Are we still on for tonight?

Isa was too busy cleaning and preparing that she did not see or hear her phone go off so after about 15ish minutes panic started setting in on Taylor's overthinking brain that Isa might have been canceling on her or possibly even worse, ghosting her entirely.

Stop it, Swift! You're being so damn dramatic it's been 15 minutes!

After about a half hour Isa finally texted back

Isa: hey! of course we are! sorry i didn't respond right away i was cleaning the house as boring as that sounds, believe it or not i have some pretty cool company coming over tonight!

Taylor: Wait... not to be rude but who else is coming over? Ngl I was under the impression it was just going to be us

Isa: the pretty cool company is you, you idiot! So yes, it is just going to be us, don't worry tay :)

Taylor couldn't help but smile at the cute nickname Isa just called her. Yes so many people in her life already use that nickname quite frequently but it coming from Isa just felt, different, in the best way possible.

Taylor: For both of our sakes can we please just imagine I got the hint that it the cool company was me from the beginning? Thanks.

Isa: nope. you have earned yourself permanent rights for me to make fun of you for it and never let you live it down.

Taylor: Ugh. Ok 😔😔 I'll see you later loser

Isa: okay great !! see you later dumbass!

Isa found herself smiling at her phone once again like a total idiot, but she just couldn't help it, that's how her body reacts to even thinking about Taylor, let alone actually talking to her.

A few hours later Taylor found herself debating on what outfit to wear she didn't know how basic they were going so she went for a pretty oversized simple sweater with a skirt that matches basically everything in her wardrobe. She was also cooking chicken casserole with potatoes for them to eat later on in the evening. She had decided on that meal because she vividly remembers Isa telling her that it is her favorite food, especially when her grandma makes it. She also remembers Isa telling her that ever since she moved away she misses her grandmothers cooking so much. It's was honestly what Isa missed the most about home.

Taylor had no idea how her cooking compared to Isa grandmas but she could try and ultimately it's the thought that counts right? Either way she was so very excited to see Isa tonight.

Only just a few blocks over, Isa found herself in a very similar situation as Taylor had been in previously. She could not for the life of her decide on an outfit. She had tried on 5 different options already and nothing felt right.

It was supposed to be casual right? They were just hanging out in her apartment! But also she's seeing Taylor! She has to look good when she sees Taylor! don't ask Isa why she was so set on looking so good for Taylor, she had no idea why, all she knew is that she felt like she had to.
