Dharini's POV
Sunday passed in a blur. No one mentioned Mishra sir, and they didn't call to inform us of their decision. But I knew... I knew he was going to reject me. I don't blame him. After all, I had never viewed him in that light—he was my teacher. My thoughts were interrupted by Drishu.
"What do you think?"
"About what?"
"Oh, Jiji, I'm asking what you think Mishra sir's decision will be?"
"What about him? I know he'll say no because he told me himself."
"What if he says yes?"
"I don't know, but from the way he spoke, I don't think so."
"But Jiji, let's consider what if he says yes?"
"I don't know. I'm already anxious about facing him at school. If he says yes, I don't know how I'll attend his class, knowing that the person teaching is going to be my husband."
"But Jiji, then you'll get good marks in tests," she said excitedly.
"No, I doubt he'd ever cheat. He has his own principles."
"But Jiji..."
"Stop this discussion. There is no rice, and we are cooking Khayali Pulao" (daydreaming).
"Let's sleep now; tomorrow is school." I told her but couldn't convince myself to do the same.
The next morning...
"Rini..." Mumma's voice pierced my ears.
"Mumma, just 5 more minutes, please."
"Rini, you'll be late. Wake up now, or I'm going to throw water on you," she warned.
I'm awake. I sat up instantly.
Ugh... I knew I was awake until 3 AM, then I don't know when sleep took over me. I saw my puffy eyes in the mirror. People will know I was awake the whole night. Huh...

Anav's POV
I arrived at school and headed straight for the staff room. I needed to talk to Rajeev urgently; only he could help me. I spotted him flirting with Pratiksha Ma'am, who seemed to be enjoying his attention.
"Excuse me? Rajeev?" I called out.
"Ye... yes, Anav," he stammered.
"What, yaar? You could've come a little later; I was about to ask her out, and she was just about to say yes."
"How can you say she was about to say yes?"
"I just know. By the way, why did you call?"
"Actually, the girl I went to see on Saturday..." I trailed off
"Yeah, tell me," he said, unscrewing the cap of his water bottle.
"You know in 12th A, there's this student Dharini?"
"Dharini Sharma?"
"Yes."
"Oh, so it's her sister?" he asked, taking a sip.
