Author's POV

The following day in the bustling office, a palpable tension hung in the air.

Chloe, nursing her resentment toward War, continued to harbor ill feelings. As the workday unfolded, her bitterness manifested in a series of small, intended accidents directed at War.

First, it was the strategically placed pile of papers that sent War's coffee cup tumbling.

Then, a seemingly innocent collision that resulted in a splash of water on War's shirt.

Each incident, though seemingly accidental, bore the hallmark of Chloe's passive-aggressive disdain.

Cindy, observed these incidents with growing annoyance.

Her patience reached its limit as she witnessed Chloe's antics, and she couldn't stand idly by any longer.

"Chloe," Cindy called out, her voice edged with irritation, "what's going on here? These accidents are getting out of hand."

Chloe feigned innocence, a smirk playing on her lips. "Accidents? I have no idea what you're talking about."

Cindy shot her a stern look. "Cut the act, Chloe. I've seen enough. War doesn't deserve this treatment."

Chloe scoffed, dismissive. "He's the one who doesn't deserve to be here."

Cindy, growing frustrated, warned, "This behavior is unacceptable, Chloe. We're a team, and you need to treat your colleagues with respect. If you have an issue, address it professionally."

Chloe rolled her eyes. "War doesn't deserve professionalism. He's a snake."

Cindy's patience wore thin. "Enough, Chloe. This grudge you're holding is affecting the entire team. Settle your personal issues outside the workplace."

....

As the day progressed, Chloe's actions became more blatant, each incident eliciting a more exasperated response from Cindy.

The small, intended accidents evolved into a pattern of deliberate attempts to undermine War's presence in the office.

In a quiet moment, Cindy approached War, her expression apologetic. "I'm sorry you have to deal with this, War. Chloe's behavior is uncalled for."

War, maintaining a calm demeanor, replied, "It's alright, Cindy. I appreciate your support."

Cindy, determined to put an end to the toxicity, confronted Chloe once again. "Chloe, consider this your final warning. If these antics continue, there will be consequences."

Chloe, unyielding, shot back, "I'm just expressing my opinions."

Cindy sighed, her frustration evident. "Express your opinions in a more constructive way. We're here to work, not to create a hostile environment. Understood?"

As the day wore on, the office became a battleground of conflicting emotions, a clash of personalities that threatened to disrupt the harmony of the workplace.
