Author's POV
Yin sat at his desk, staring blankly at the documents in front of him.
He was supposed to be working, but his mind was far from the numbers and reports.
His thoughts kept drifting back to the tumultuous emotions and decisions he had been grappling with.
He rubbed his temples, feeling the weight of his situation pressing down on him.
On one hand, there was War-the person he couldn't get out of his mind, the one who filled his heart with both joy and pain.
On the other hand, there was Aom, the woman he had promised to marry, who had stood by him through thick and thin.
The thought of her pitiful face last night was etched in his memory.

Flashback: Last Night
Yin had returned home after spending the evening drinking with Bonz, hoping to clear his mind.
As he entered the bedroom, he saw Aom lying in bed, seemingly asleep.
He moved quietly, not wanting to disturb her.
After grabbing a change of clothes, he slipped into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
The warm water cascaded over him, but it did little to wash away the turmoil in his heart.
His mind raced as he considered his future.
Should he tell Aom that he couldn't go through with the marriage?
Because what he realized was that, whenever he imagined himself waking up in the future, it was War he saw sleeping beautifully beside him, not Aom.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't picture a life with Aom.
His heart knew what it wanted, but the question was, how was he going to tell Aom?
Yin finished his shower and quietly returned to the bedroom.
As he lay down next to Aom, facing the ceiling, he noticed her body shaking slightly.
The room was silent except for the faint sound of her whimpers.
His heart clenched as he realized she was crying.
Worried, he turned to her, gently taking her arm to make her face him.
Her eyes were red and puffy, tears still streaming down her cheeks.
"Aom, what's wrong?" he asked softly, his voice filled with concern.
Aom looked at him with a mixture of sorrow and desperation.
"Yin, are you going to leave me?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
"Do you not want to marry me no more?"
Yin felt a pang of guilt so strong it almost took his breath away.
He pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly.
"What makes you think that? Of course, I want to marry you," he said, trying to soothe her fears.
"Our wedding is approaching soon. Why would I leave?"
As he spoke the words, he felt a deep sense of conflict.
He had planned to tell her the truth, to confess that his heart belonged to someone else.
