Chapter 6: dinner, chaos, sleep, and coffee(still y/n's pov)

I watched as the boys slowly got their stuff together and decided who was going to get in the shower first after i showed them how it worked and started cooking i decided on steak mac and cheese and a small salad by the time the food was done we were waiting on one person surprisingly john takes forever to take a shower when john came out im sure he saw what everyone else did and cleared his throat “i- uh…. I cleaned your mess for you y/n” i looked up shocked “thank-” my phone rang (p.s a hamilton reference will be used from stay alive reprised) “one moment” i pick up my phone putting it on speaker “hey vinny what’s up sis” my dad had other kids before he died  one being vinny i heard her choke “h-he shot me he fought unfairly” i heard her cough i stood so quick “vin?” ….” sis… did excatly what you said sis i hel,d my head up high”.. “I know.. I know shh” tears fell and i started grabbing things some of the boys things and mouthed to john to get the boys in the car and try to start it “i held my head up high!” i started to cry “ shh i know you did everything just right” he nodded and started “even before we started fighting”.. “shh” “i was putting my defense up instead of attacking” …”i know i know” “ i was in defense mood” “i know i know” “i was-..i was in defense mood” more tears fell as i ran out everyone in the car and it started i started the car “ i know  save your strength and stay alive! I’ll be there soon!” we drove off “what’s going on?” i turn to see aaron in the passenger seat again “my sister on my dad’s side was shot in a fight not a duel they're illegal now but the guy she was fighting brought a gun to a fist fight” they had tears seeing me so broken half way there i got a call “Hello?” …”this is the hospital were calling on regards of vinny y/l/n she’s slowly dying and might be out in 15 we did everything we could” my phone dropped the hospital was 18 minutes away i went as fast as i could getting there a bit later than i hoped i ran into the room and see jackson my older brother crying i thought the worse the boys behind me “NO!” ….i let tears fall panic seeking in “y/n…” i had hope “is she breathing is she going to survive this?”... he said nothing “who did this jackson did you know?” all i knew was she needed help with tips and it was one of jackson’s friends she was going against “sis im sorry for forgetting what you taught me…” did-..did she try to count in french?...even though my dad was french she was to young to remember him teaching her how to count so id do it instead “my dear sister..” “we played piano” i nodded “i taught you piano” she smiled “you would put your hands on mine” i giggle tears falling “you changed the melody every time”...i shook my head slightly smiling at the memories “Heh i would always change the line” more tears filled my eyes seeing her struggle to speak alex having feeling the same pains as i am now came up and rubbed my back “sh i know i know”she repeated her self like before over the phone “ i know i know”... i had an idea counting always calmed her down “un, deux, trois, quatre,” she repeated right behind me “cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf” again she repeated “good” i nodded “un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept” she took a deep breath “un, deux, trois,.....” she stopped no no no no no not now come on i tried to continue alex had left my side once i had calmed but now i wish he didn’t thomas stepped up this time seeing panic start to seek in again “huit, neuf”... i rested come on please..”sept, huit, neuf…” i grabbed on to thomas one more time please vinny respond “sept, huit?...”i broke down in his arms him trying to comfort me i cried and cried then i felt shifting not being able to hear anything i look up to see washington trying to talk to me i shake my head “i- i can’t .. i can’t hear anything” he had panic in his eyes and sent someone for a doctor when they checked on me the only thing they did was give me water and i calmed and the room was filled with noise i winced at the sudden sound and the boys noticed ….. I knew it was useless but i had to ask….”how’s vinny?”... i waited then heard a voice a female voice it was our older sister carol “oh her pffft she’s fine” i look up to see vinny her voice was raspy really raspy i shot up and hugged her crying “oh my baby sister im so glad your ok i was so worried so scared” i heard her giggle a bit and she hugged me back “sis were leaving” i heard jackson say then a small tired “mhm” i looked to see carol our older sister her and jackson are twins they’re 31 vinny is 16 she was only 6 when dad died he had been teaching her to speak in english her whole life then a year before he past he was teaching her french anyways i ran over to carol giving her a tight hug “ where are the twins?” jackson gave me a really look “all four are in the car” yes two more set of twins kiley and riley are 12 and kitty and jason are 10 dad died two months after they were born the y/l/n siblings are a handful i must admit. Carol spoke up soon after “they’re asleep but we can meet up another time..and hey” i looked back over to her “im proud of you for escaping that house and im taking these are some friends that are taking care of you for now?” i nod stopping thomas from speaking i give them my number and we all head out they had parked on the other side so we just went home when we got in i realized are food was most likely cold “im sorry it’s only the first day in the 21rst century for yall and it goes like this having to do with my chaos and my emotions and now y'all's food is cold im so sorry “ “mon ami it’s fine we can’t help what happens” i felt bad “but y’all’s food is cold and yall have yet to try on all y’all’s outfits and yall had to leave with your night clothes on!” alex hugged me “it’s fine” thomas spoke up making alex groan quietly in my ear “seriously darlin’ “ i giggle “thank y'all” they nod “it’s all good after all you my friend are allowing us to stay” i smile “here let me heat up y’alls food”

TIME SKIP

After dinner we go to sleep until i hear stumbling and two people talking so i walk down and james and thomas are talking “we could have stayed in our room tommy” “nah couldn’t risk it were to close to the others” thomas leaned down and kissed james cheek and walked into the kitchen “anyways want coffee love? It’s so good ive had like a cup and an half no-” i sat there with my arms crossed “i knew it and it’s 2 in the morning coffee is used to give you energy plus you said it wrong” they both jump scared i looked confused then it hit me they don’t want anyone to know “yall are cool don’t worry about it i support plus im pan sooo and your secret is safe with me” they visibly relaxed “thanks darlin’ “ i nod and point to the coffee “might wanna lay off that you’ll be up for hours”(coffee was first planted in 1817 they wouldn’t know about it)he nodded and put the cup down “so that’s why you paired us together?” i nodded at james “so what about the others?” i look at thomas “ well alex and john yes herc and laf yes aaron and washington def no” then out of nowhere we hear a voice “ im glad upon you not thinking me and aaron were together” i froze “president sir!-”
