Chapter 10: old job part 2, road trip

John's pov:

It's getting close to dark out and y/n still hasn't told where we're going or what her job is. We pulled into a place title the lafé's hotel the lafé's from what y/n has told us were rich french people who owned many places she knows them personally and their families were close she knows when they're working in a certain spot and what hours so we pull in and she tells us to get out we do so and she opens the trunk and tells us to grab our bags and follow her in which we do "Claire lafé mon ami how are tu?" The young girl with long brown hair looked up and said with one of the thickest accents other than laf and y/n's I've ever heard "my feind I good. tu mon ami?" Y/n and this girl had a long conversation before Washington walked behind y/n and wrapped his arms around her and whisper to where I could barely hear him and said "love we must go to our room" she just simply nodded asked for a key and bid the girl I now know as Claire lafé goodbye "how do you know her?" Jefferson said walking faster "hm? Oh! My father used to work with their family before he past I grew close with Claire....the lafé family are amazing people" y/n replied as we got into this new thing she explained to us when we went to the mall we got out and went straight to our door when a taller girl than the last came up to us "hm so no say hi to an old feind mon ami?" Y/n turned around and smiled hugging the girl "Marié lafé always a pleasure to see u mon ami" she turned to us "everyone this is clairé's older sister marié lafé" we all greet her in some way and y/n invites her in when they start talking about her old job that's when I truly start listening "so me fiend your going back to fixing up old buildings?" Y/n simply nodded "oui however I don't just do random old buildings I do buildings that deserve to be rebuilt that deserve to be fixed up buildings that matter that SHOULD matter we're leaving tomorrow we just needed to rest" y/n stated and marié nodded "well take mine, clairé, and Gilbert's numbers"

Y/n's pov:
"Well take mine, clairé, and Gilbert's numbers" I smiled at the name Gilbert I haven't seen him in so long me and Gilbert are the same age we grew up together shockingly we've only ever felt mutual about one another though I could see the look on George's face after i smiled it looked almost jealous and I simply shook my head "Gilbert Marquis de Ford lafé how is that nuckle head?" Marié smiled "well he's doing well" after talking a little more she gave me the numbers and I saved them in my phone

After saving the numbers and marié left I texted every number a simply hi and waited for a response as the boys settled in "get some sleep boys tomorrow we make one more stop before getting to our true first stop" Jefferson walked up to me "wait were going to do more than one building?" I nodded "usually it only takes a bout two days if I have the right team and depending on how big the building is however we're doing houses so it'll take about a week for most of them and since we're doing 8-10ish buildings we'll do maybe 2 or 3 and go home so we can celebrate Christmas then we'll leave out again after New years" I replied having to look up since mans is literally 6 feet and like 4 fucking inches I'm only 5'8.5 bro anyhow the boys nodded and started getting their showers when a text comes through

Butterfly🦋: it was her nickname growing up because she loved buttercups as butterfly is mine due to me loving butterflies I used to chase them around the yard

Y/nthequeen😜: it was funny to watch her fall then get back up and try because I know I could never do that

Marié💜: you should probably get some rest mon ami u do have like three Houses to do u and the boys have to get up early

Butterfly🦋: wait ur back to fixing up historical buildings that's wonderful the Washington estate looks terrible inside it's been what only 8 years since u went in there I got it to look like the original thing

Y/nthequeen😜: yes well I have more of a reason now to fix up the buildings...anywho it's getting late the boys are almost done with their showers cuz y'all take forever to respond

With that I turned my phone off ignoring the protest and got my stuff ready for my bath when Washington came up and hugged me from behind "who was that my dear?" He said and I just smiled "my friends from earlier and my siblings"he kissed my cheek and sat on the bed "if i may know what about?" I looked at him and smirked "why wanna know if I talked you up?" He looked down for a second and I could hear a faint chuckle"maybe? Did you?" I raised a brow "no but I talked about my old job" he signed "fine" as Jefferson came out I stood up and crossed my arms "same rules apply here Jefferson" turns out Jefferson actually took the longest not John he just knows that other people have to get in but when he's the last person he takes forever AND I STILL HAVE TO GET IN "oh calm down darlin' it's just a shower" this pisses me off "... THAT'S IT ONLY 5 MINUTES EACH!" There were a bunch of no's and come on's "nice going jefershit!" John put his hand on his boyfriend's shoulder and Alex backed up not wanting John in the middle of it "HEY! don't do that what happened to how y'all were?? Y'all were doing good y'all were getting along okish why fight now?" There was silence "y/n is right" I nod and after making sure everything was good I got in the shower and did what I needed to and got out of the shower to find them bickering "HEY!" Almost everyone jumped and everyone turned around "to be honest Jefferson started it" Aaron said truthfully and laf, James, and John nodded I then proceeded to sigh "where's Washington?" As I said that he walked in "here I went get food so everyone can eat and sleep we only had sandwiches after all" I then nodded and everyone ate and went to bed we'll see what tomorrow has to offer

A/N: Ok y'all so next chapter might not be out for a while I don't know honestly Im still working on two other books as well so I'm not sure when the next chapter will go out I will keep u guys update tho AND the next chapters will be tittle depending on who's house y/n fixes up so yea have a good day or night love u guys
