11. Demon

(POV Kyojuro Rengoku)
Few days passed by and Giyuu's state still wasn't better. Shinobu forbade me to go to him for some reason. I did feel bad to know that Giyuu might be in danger and that I can't see him and help him. So all I have to do was to wait..

(POV Shinobu Kocho)
Giyuu was transoforming into something. I couldn't let anyone know about it. His skin became more pale and the ends of his hair turned blue. I was really afraid because this never happened. He didn't wake up, he was unconscious and changing like this. I checked up on him every single hour to see if he's any different. One day, I went to check up on him again and saw something that horrified me. He was awake. His eyes.. weren't normal. His pupils weren't round but like lines, sharp lines. Like demon's. I gasped out of shock and dropped the plate I was holding. He looked so different. He looked at me and turned his head to side. "Tomioka-san?.." I whispered and slowly walked towards him. "Are..you there?.." my voice was trembling because of scaredness. This situation horrified me. He looked at me with confusion and putted his hand on his cheek. "So you are there.." I sighed sadly but kinda relieved. Then I remembered, If he's a demon, he should be killed. And I couldn't let that happen. His soul was too pure, too kind to die. I used to make fun of him but I could never let him be killed by the corps. I opened the window to outside. "Run Tomioka..Run before someone finds out that you're a demon." I quickly made my choice and lot him runaway. He looked at me once more, bowed with his head and jumped out of the window. I watched him as he ran to the forest, groaning longly. He wasn't safe but he would be in bigger danger in the HQ than somewhere in the forests. I looked at the sky, tears falling down my face. I violated the rules, just for a person I hated. 

(POV Giyuu Tomioka)
Shinobu opened the window. For some reason, I felt like I'm not myself. Some instinct dragged me outside and I ran as fast as I could. I had to get out of there. Something was wrong with me and I couldn't tell what. Everything was the same, but actually not. It was confusing. I ran untill I didn't have energy. The forest was beautiful and silent. The trees all around, the stars on the night sky. I felt safe. For the first time in a long time. My insticts leaded me somewhere to a cave. It was a pretty big one. There was no light but I saw everything clearly.

(POV Muichiro Tokito)
I was checking if there are any demons near the HQ as master told me to because of how we found Giyuu. There was no one there. Well..I though. I walked around the forest that was all around the HQ, exactly nearest to the butterfly woman's estate. Nothing there as well, until I saw something move there. I sensed that it's definitely a demon, but this one felt different. I followed him to anywhere he was going to kill it where it will stop.

He stopped near the cave. I knew it there, I was sometimes going there to relax when it was too loud in the HQ. He sat in the dark and I slowly started to get closer. When I saw him clearly, I was horrified. It was Giyuu but he looked different. He was pale and had some blue marks on him (they appeared on him while he was concouncious). His hair was a little blue in some places. "G-G-Giyuu..?" I whispered and walked a little bit closer but keeping my distance and I was still holding my katana, ready to kill him if something goes wrong. He didn't respond. Was he sleeping? Even if he was, he could hear me, right? Demons hear a lot more than humans, I guess. He noticed me and looked at me. His eyes were glowing in the dark and his pupils looked different. "Mui..run away, no one should see us." He whispered sadly. It was still him, he was just...a demon...
