"Kabado ka ba?" Adienne asked me. We are currently sitting in the first row of the theater hall. Today is the day.
"Oo, baka magka error kasi" I replied while playing with my fingers. "Chill out, keri nila 'yan" Amber replied while munching her chocolate bar.
A glimpse of last night occupied my mind and consciousness.
His voice suits the song so well. He's a swiftie! But then while he is singing, and I got a good look of where his eyes are settled. . . those majestic windows of soul are settled not on me. But with the girl that is behind me.
The girl smiled and even giggle with her friends. Well, that kinda hurts.
Kinda? Really, Soleia?
My eyes went onto my foot and my mind has been so crowded with thoughts. Do they know each other?
When he finished the song, my foot immediately went to the other direction he is going to.
Pumwesto ako sa may side nang stage, I saw him approached the girl. My breathing got heavier and heavier at the moment.
The girl giggled with him, I saw that.
"What a sight" I gasped when someone spoke from my behind. Pinihit ko ang sarili ko at tumambad sa'kin si Maze.
I gave him a glare. "Chill, Mayora. I won't do anything" he said and casually slid his hand into his pocket. My eyes darted once again onto the sight that keeps on breaking me into pieces.
"That's Reese Ansley" he said and I didn't replied. She got a nice name. "Yours sounds much better though" I heaved a sigh. "She's a grade 12 student from STEM strand" he said. "I didn't asked" mariin kong sabi sakaniya. "Just incase you would wanna know" then I heard his footsteps went away.
Nang makapagdesisyon ako, I decided to leave the place.
"Sol? Solei? Are you listening?" napaigtad ako nang hawakan ni Syrine ang balikat ko. "Huh? Oo, ayos lang ako" I replied and lightly shook my head. "Your phone is beeping, go answer it" Amber said and gave me a light smile.
Tumango ako at lumisan sa kinauupuan ko. We still have 10 minutes before the performances starts. Nang makalabas ako sa hall, I tapped my phone.
It's a missed call from Dad. I tapped the button to call him back. In just four rings, he answered.
"Soleia" I heard him called me. "I need you to be in the family dinner later" he said. "Okay, pa" I replied timidly. "Your midterms are on the way, make sure you get a good result and good grades" I bit my lower lip.
"Do not ever try to disappoint me. Understood?" I sighed. "Y-yes, pa" I replied. He hung up the call.
Mabigat ang loob ko nang humarap ulit ako sa daan. I wiped my tears.
He never really cared about me, just only the honor that I bring.
I sighed for the nth time. "Jaycel, are you crying?" my eyes darted on whose voice it is.
I saw Yeshua worriedly walking towards me. Hindi ko siya sinagot at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad. "Wait, Jaycel!" he called, I didn't bothered to look back.
Mas binilisan ko pa ang paglalakad. But then, he managed to grabbed my arm and made me look at his way.
"Ano ba?! Please lang!" mabigat ang paghinga ko. I saw his shocked face. "Why are you crying? Tell me" he held both of my shoulders. Umiling ako at naramdaman ko ang pag agos nang mga luha ko.
"Please, please stay away from me first. I. . I c-couldn't afford another heartache" I murmured. "W-why?" he asked. Huminga ako nang malalim. "Please, let me be" I calmly said.
