One more chance? Kenny Ojuederie

Chapter 6!

Talia had just woken up because her phone kept ringing. She rolled over to see it was Kenny so she quickly answered, praying he wasn't cancelling on her.

Hey Talia

Morning Ken

Oh shit sorry did I wake you up

Yeah it's fine though

I just wanted to let you know that I'll come and pick you both up in a bit at like 20 to 12

Okay thankyou

Talia decided to get out of bed and start her day as it was 10 already. She got up and had a quick shower before brushing her teeth and hair. She then headed into Chelsea's room to wake her up. She was so grateful that Chelsea slept a lot during the night as she was no longer being woken up before sunrise.

"Morning baby" Talia spoke quietly as she picked her daughter up. Chelseas arm's immediately wrapped around Talia's neck as she carried her daughter into the kitchen. She put Chelsea down in her high chair and began making some breakfast for her.

Once the two had both finished eating, Talia went into her bedroom and put Chelsea in the walker so she could get ready. She did a pretty similar routine to what she did when Kenny came over. Not too much but enough to make her look presentable. As she finished getting dressed, she heard a knock at the door so she picked Chelsea up and walked over. She opened the door just to be met with Kenny who was pretty early.

"Hey Talia, I just thought I'd come over to help watch Chels while you get ready but I think I've come a bit too late" he said, looking the girl up and down, admiring her before taking his daughter out her arms so she could continue getting ready.

"Awh thankyou Ken you didn't have to" Talia said as she shut the door, inviting Kenny inside.

"I know but like I said I'm here to help you both aren't I princess" he replied as he looked at his daughter, smiling and stroking her face.

"How about you two sit in the living room whilst I finish straightening my hair and then we can head over to yours?" Talia asked as Kenny sat down on the sofa, nodding at her then going back to playing with his daughter.

Talia walked back to her bedroom and sat down, taking a big sigh of relief. It's so nice that Kenny's genuinely here to help her since she's had no help whatsoever this whole time.

Once she had finally finished getting ready, she walked into the living room but stopped as she saw Kenny getting along so perfectly with her daughter. She watched the two for a minute until Kenny turned around, looking concerned. He picked Chelsea up and walked over to Talia, wiping her face. She didn't even realise but a few tears had fallen.

"What's the matter ma?" He asked. That was new, he had never called her 'ma' before.

"Huh? Oh nothing it's just so nice seeing you two together that's all" She giggled a bit, not because anything was funny but because she felt embarrassed.

"Well if you're both ready then we can go" Kenny said, walking over to the front door.

"Oh yeah come on" Talia replied as she followed him.

She picked up her daughter's bag on the way out which just had some snacks, spare clothes and some stuff to change her whilst they were out.

Kenny unlocked the car and quickly walked over to the passenger side, opening it for Talia like a true gentleman. Talia got in the car and turned around to see that Kenny had brought a booster seat for Chelsea and put it in his car.

"Awh Ken that's so cute" Talia said, pointing to the seat as Kenny got in the drivers side.

"Yeah well I thought it would be good to have so I can start taking Chelsea out" he smiled as he pulled off the driveway.

For the drive, Kenny told Talia about how all the boys were so excited to see her after almost 3 years and about how much they had all grown up. Talia was also excited to see the boys, she missed them all so much as they used to all be the bestest of friends.
