Today is Chelsea's birthday and her parents are so excited. Even tho Chelsea won't remember this day it's still so special to Talia and Kenny. Kenny in particular because it's the first birthday he will be spending with his daughter, he wanted to make it special.

Kenny slept at Talia's last night and they had such fun together preparing all of Chelsea's presents.

The night before..

Talia had just put Chelsea to bed and luckily she went straight down, she's still not at that age where she won't sleep because it's her birthday although she is starting to understand a lot more now. She met Kenny back in the living room who was wrapping up some last presents. The pair had went shopping together and brought Chelsea some new toys, a new blanket and then some clothes and shoes. Chelsea's still a bit too young to know what she wants for her birthday so it was quite hard to pick out presents for her but they managed it.

Now all the presents were wrapped, they put up a big silver '3' balloon and a few small ones with confetti in on the floor as Chelsea loves playing with the balloons. Hopefully she doesn't pop them all though because the confetti will be a nightmare to clean up.

Then, they began decorating a cake. Talia made a cake earlier while Chelsea was at Kenny's house so it made making it a bit easier because she didn't have a toddler to chase round the house. They just put loads of sweets all over the cake and it looked so cute, they even made a cute little face on it which they knew Chelsea would find so funny.

Back to present

Talia and Kenny were both asleep in her bed when he felt someone tugging on his finger. He opened his eyes to see Chelsea stood trying to wake him up. Kenny grabbed his daughter and lifted her onto the bed so she could wake up Talia. The pair both kept poking Talia's arms and legs until she finally woke up. Talia was so confused because Chelsea never comes in to wake her up, she usually has to go and wake her up herself. I suppose she is starting to understand it's her birthday.

Once the 3 were fully awake and after loads of cuddles and kisses, they walked into the living room. Or should I say ran.

Chelsea ran straight for the balloons and began throwing them around, not even noticing the small pile of presents on the floor.

Once she finally acknowledged them, she began ripping the pink paper off and opening them all. Talia and Kenny both felt themselves getting a bit emotional, they were of course so happy but just knowing they had a 3 year old daughter together felt so surreal. Even though Kenny hadn't been there the whole time, at least he was now and he was so happy watching his daughters face light up as she opened her new toys. They really had become the perfect family..
