Branch clung to him as he began to explain.
"Okay so, I was on my way to Branch's bunker, right? And I see this guy who looks exactly like me! So I freak out and stay to keep an eye on him. I didn't want anyone to get hurt, especially Branch! So I stayed to watch them. But when Branch screamed I realized that I really messed up, because not only had I ditched our date, but I also hadn't told him what was going on!"
Barb narrowed her eyes, "So you forgot him?"
Synth paled and shook his head, "N-No! Of course I didn't!"
Branch looked up at him as he clung to him, "Promise?"
Synth smiled and nodded, "Promise."
Barb scowled and crossed her arms, she pointed at Synth then to herself, then to an area behind Synth and held up two fingers.
Then she pointed at Branch and looked around for a moment before pointing at Riff and Sid Fret.
Synth understood immediately, they would talk in private while Branch would be with Riff and Sid Fret.
Synth nodded to Barb who nodded back.
She subtly waved Riff and Sid Fret over, and they both hurried over.
She did the same motions and they nodded.
Sid Fret smiled as Riff spoke, "Hey Branch? Wanna hang out with us for a while?"
Branch thought for a moment but then nodded, "Sure! Bye, love! See you later, Barb!"
