Y/N's POV:
Last thing I remember was the striking pain pulsating through my left cheek before everything went black.
I was awoken by the ear ringing noise of what I assumed were gunshots firing off in the distance.
Barely any energy to lift my head to scan my surroundings, I used what little I did have left to focus on breathing. I was cold, my feet were bare, no jacket and the only light that flickered in was the single light bulb above my head and a glimpse of the moonlight through a barred window.
My breathing became unsteady with each passing second. The heat of my breath would show with each exhale but that too started to fade. Even the warmth of my own blood still dripping started to become cold.
All that nonsense that guy was talking earlier about needing to keep me alive for the data that's inside my head but doesn't realize I'll soon die from hypothermia.
Clouds started to fog my mind as I tried to stay conscious.
A comfort yet scary, familiar sound triggered my mind awake. One that I believe to know very well but can't quite make it out.
Voices were speaking in the background and with no motivation to care I never lifted my head to see who was even talking.
Not long after, a piercing noise rang throughout my ears follow by two bodies dropping instantly at my feet.
And that's when I officially slipped out of consciousness once again.
Another set of whispering brought me back out of my dark subconscious space. With weakening eyes, I managed to pry them open.
I found myself laying on my side with a pillow under my head. With one deep inhalation of the fabric I immediately recognized the familiar aroma that has been comforting me the past week.
Chris
Shooting my head up I quickly fell back down due to the blood rushing to my head. I slowly regained my self as the stabbing headache faded away.
"She's awake!" Someone yelled out, scary me shitless as I heard their foot steps running out of the room. I almost didn't even notice the other person sitting by the foot of the bed watching me.
Sitting up completely, bringing my knees to my chest and wrapping my arms around them but let go once I noticed the white bandages tightly secured around my wrist.
The fear the swept over me due to being in another unknown area, being watched by unknown people was replaced with my insane curiosity.
As I was in a daze, staring at my freshly wrapped arms I didn't even hear someone walking into the room.
"You can go now."
Picking my head up just in time to see the squirrel looking boy walk out of the room. My eyes then began to water as they fell upon the dark hair man with broad shoulders that I knew all too well as he was standing only inches away out of arms reach.
"Chris.." My voice was came out very weak almost like I forgot how to speak.
He quickly turned his body to face me. The last time I saw him his face was unrecognizable. The anger that turned his facial features into something terrifying was now replaced with his soft smile and single dimple.
Chris slowly started to walk around the edge of the bed, as he began to step more into the light I could see the sad look he was trying to hide but his eyes gave it away.
"Y/n."
His voice was soft since the last time I heard it. He sat down next to me, being careful to not sit on my legs that were underneath the blanket.
I'm not sure what was going on through his head but I know for certain that he was the one to rescue me. So with all the energy I could muscle up, I reached out grabbing his shirt.
With both hands I pulled him in close while wrapping my arms around his neck. He didn't even hesitate to return the same gesture as his arms fell comfortably around my body.
