Sirius glared at the prophet, jaw clenched as he skimmed the article on Lucius Malfoy claiming Imperius Curse. I mean really, what else was new?

Sirius jumped as arms came around his shoulders, "Moony?"

Remus hummed, laying his heart against Sirius', and let out another hum when Sirius repeated his nickname. "I'm sorry," Remus started, "I've been ignoring you and your moves. I didn't know if we'd be able to be what we used to be. But bloody hell, you're determined."

Sirius exhaled, opening his mouth to make a comment, only for Remus to place a finger against his lips. "I was ashamed. Before you contacted me, I still loved you. Even before I knew you were innocent."

Remus paused, trying to find the words to explain, "I think I still would have loved you if you'd actually done it. That's the part I can't understand. It makes me more of a monster than I already am."

Sirius tilted his head up, catching Remus' lips with his own, the kiss only lasting a few seconds before Remus pulled away.

His face forming a goofy grin when Remus leaned back in. Their kiss lasting for several minutes, only pulling apart when the need to breathe was too great.

"So, does this make y'all my gay dads?" Sirius and Remus ripped apart quickly, Sirius falling out of his chair in the process. "Fuck!"

Harry cringed, "Oops..?"

Sirius glared, getting back into his chair with a huff, "Merlin—Harry, what are you doing up right now?" Harry frowned, fidgeting with his hands.

He pulled out a letter, "To Mr. H.J.Potter," he read. Sirius glanced at Remus, heart speeding up. "He knows."

Remus shook his head, "No, no. Let's read the letter before we jump to conclusions." Remus took the letter from Harry, leading him to Sirius' chair. Once Harry was wrapped up in Sirius' arms, Remus opened the letter.

Sirius waited anxiously as Remus skimmed the letter, his heart beating faster as the silence continued on. The longer Remus read, the tighter Sirius' grip tightened. And thanks to Sirius' enhanced hearing, he could hear the moment Remus' heart stuttered.

"He knows," Remus whispered.

Sirius buried his nose in Harry's nest of hair, arms tightening further, "Uncle Padfoot?" Sirius exhaled deeply, "I can't lose him, not my Prongslet. He won't take him, I won't let him!"

Harry's eyes widened, "Who's trying to take me?"

Remus knelt down in front of the chair, "No one, like Sirius said, he won't let anyone take you. Neither will I." Harry nodded.

"Fucking Dumbledore! He wants to give him to bloody Petunia—and her filthy husband!" Sirius' voice cracked, "Remus is right, we won't let him or anyone take you. You're our pup, our cub. My Prongslet." Remus nodded in agreement, "We're your—what did you call it? Gay dads! We're your gay dads."

Sirius had tears in his eyes, releasing Harry so he could hug Remus. Remus gazed encouragingly at Sirius, inviting him to join the hug. He did.

An hour later, Sirius had finally gotten Harry back in bed, slowly closing the bedroom door when Remus pulled him back into the sitting room. "I think it's time for us to hunt down a rat."

Sirius grinned, "Couldn't have said it better myself."
