HEY so this is my first chapter so pls give me criticism and feed back on how i can do better because i am not the best writer!!

you met matt in 6th grade. ever since then, you guys have been inseparable.
you were a new student, and it was your last period of the day.
science.
ms. maxfield had asked us to partner up with someone but you hadn't known anyone
and you weren't exactly the social butterfly type.
you just sat at your desk alone, hoping no one would bother and she allowed you to work alone.
out of the corner of your eye, you saw a boy coming your way.
"hi, i'm matt. do you wanna be partners?" the ocean eyed boy asked.
you nodded while fiddling with your fingers.
"what's your name?" he asked.
"y/n." you quietly spoke while writing your name down on the paper.
"that's a nice name." he smiled.
"so which school did you go to?" he questioned.
"i actually just moved here from 6 hours away." you said.
you felt comfortable around this brown, ocean-eyed boy.
something about him gave you the butterflies and you were under the impression
you liked him more then a friend.
the bell rang and you both got up in a rush.
you took the bus and matt was picked up, so you couldn't talk to him.
you went home to settle from the day.
"hey y/n." your sister, zara called out
"hi."
"how was school? find any cute boys?" she questioned, smiling.
"it was good. and yeah, me and this boy partnered up for science. i think he was pretty cool." you said, smiling.
even though you guys were young, you both knew you were destined for each other.
you would always get this feeling in your stomach, the beautiful kind, around matt at a young age.
and to this day, you and him both have the same feeling everytime you see each other.
so just a short lil chapter to start off this book! ❤️
