Technically, in the contract, you were not allowed to date co-workers. But also, technically, Ren and Martyn weren't dating. Technically. By technical a standpoint. They were just friends who lived together and happened to kiss a couple of times. It wasn't romantic. They're just friends. At least that's what Martyn told himself. Working at Freddy Fazbears sucked. It really did. Especially when you are a maintenance worker, the only one in the building. Walking in, nothing seemed to be wrong. Scar and Grian looked a bit disheveled but he chose to ignore that.
"Morning," He tried to smile but Grian and Scar's guilty looks really didn't help.
"Heyyy Martynnn!" Scar drawled in a high pitched tone that made Martyn want to turn on his heel and walk right back out of the building.
"What did you break?" Martyn crossed his arms and glared at the two.
They looked at each other for a moment before Grian sighed, "The protective cylinder," Martyn knew that already, "Monty, Chica, the cat walks in Gator Golf, and possibly the Mimic."
Martyn was stunned, how the hell did they break two animatronics and a piece of the god damn building in one night!?
"You what?" To say Martyn was pissed would be an understatement.
"Bye!" Grian said then grabbed Scar's hand and bolted out of the building before Martyn could say anything else.
Martyn groaned, he hated his job.
After spending over 2 hours gathering the parts of Monty and Chica, Martyn brought them down to parts and service. Surly enough, they had broken the protective cylinder, he groaned. It was fine, he would just work without it. Martyn placed the parts of Chica on the chair and began to arrange them so the machine could help him test them later. Knowing it wouldn't help him actually fix anything until the protective cylinder was fixed, he'd have to do everything by hand. After that Martyn began to meticulously meld the wires and animatronic parts back together. It was well into the day by the time he had finished fixing Chica's face, just her face. Not the rest of the parts of her trash compacted body. Martyn had earbuds in as he worked, not feeling the need to actually have an ear out for anything. Though, the sound of the stage lowering into the hall was loud enough to be heard through his music.
Martyn pulled out his earbuds and placed them into the case, putting them in his back pocket as he squinted down the hall. He was trying to sus out the figure of the person coming towards him. All he could tell from this was that: this person was tall, holding a flashlight, and a... box? Martyn rolled his eyes and went back to what he was doing, he didn't necessarily care about the person at this point in time. If they had high enough security to be down here it really didn't matter. Though, if it was Impulse with another issue that Sundrop was having, Martyn might just kill him. When he heard the footsteps get closer, Martyn turned to face the intruder. The flat look on his face replaced with a small smile as his expression softened.
"Hey!" Ren said happily, he clicked the flashlight off, placing it on the desk.
Ren had medium length, curly, brown hair that was up in a ponytail. His security hat was clipped onto his belt since he never really wore it. He had the standard security-guard outfit on. A white button up, gold badge, jeans, and a belt. He usually wore sunglasses but Martyn spotted those clipped onto his belt as well, Ren's dark brown eyes on full display. He probably took them off because it was dark down in the basement, and having sunglasses on wouldn't have helped. His walkie-talkie blared for a second and Tango's voice came through before Ren turned the volume down.
Martyn's own walkie had been muted, as he had been working. Ren was carrying what looked like a small to-go box in the shape of a triangle.
"You on break?" Martyn asked, turning back to Chica and continuing to fix her.

Fanfiction"Ok, so maybe it wasn't a super good idea to test out Fazbear Entertainment's VR game after someone died while testing it but Grian obviously didn't think of that. And of course he also didn't think when he was assigned to be the new security guard...
