Martyn and Ren made their way up the stalled escalator to the Daycare Pick Up spot, Martyn had to use the Fazwrench to open the garage-like door due to the power being out. They made their way down the dark hall, Ren being the only one with a flashlight really wasn't helping much. It was still hard to see and by the time they got into the Daycare the torch died. Luckily, they could see since 3 of the generators were already on.
"Do we really need to go down the slide?" Martyn asked as they approached the chute.
Ren turned to him, "You are welcome to try the doors, but it might alert Moondrop that we're here faster," He replied, "Also, I'm wiling to bet they're locked."
Martyn whined and rolled his eyes before grimacing and sitting on the slide. He spent about 3 seconds there before deciding he couldn't do it. Martyn stood.
"You go first," He said quickly.
Ren laughed and took Martyn's spot, "I love you, you're so stupid," Before Martyn could even think of a response or get his heart to start beating again Ren zipped down the slide.
Martyn sat in the same spot, knowing there was no way to tell if Ren was safe at the bottom.
He took a deep breath, "I fucking hate this job," He muttered to himself, putting the wrench onto his belt, before going down the slide and landing in the ball pit below.
The noise was quite loud as he fell into the sea of plastic balls. There was no being stealthy in this noise maker. Martyn looked around for Ren, trying to spot his white shirt among the colorful balls. Suddenly, he felt an arm around his waist pulling him back underneath the slide and a hand over his mouth to silence his scream. He fought against the arms until he heard Ren's voice shushing him.
"Martyn.. it's okay..." He whispered, breath hot against Martyn's ear causing the blonde to shiver.
Martyn relaxed and turned around, Ren took his hand off his mouth, "Why'd you do that?" He sneered in a low tone.
"I needed to get your attention before Moon saw you," Ren pointed to Sundrops room where Moondrop was currently circling.
Martyn looked at the animatronic then turned back to Ren, "How do we get past it?"
Ren shrugged, "Your guess is just as good as mine, Love."
Martyn blushed at the petname and looked over the edge of the ball pit. His eyes falling on the jungle gym. There was some movement on the bridge and as he squinted he realized it was non-other than Skizz. The brunette slowly army crawling across the bridge. Martyn elbowed Ren, causing him to hiss in pain for a moment before looking where Martyn was pointing.
"He's alone..." Martyn muttered.
"Where's Imp?" Ren asked, more to himself than to Martyn.
Martyn looked around and couldn't see him, "Probably hiding," He guessed before watching Moon's eyes lock onto Skizz and begin to zoom off in that direction. Without a second thought Martyn scrambled out from under the slide and stood in the ball pit, ignoring Ren's protests. "Hey! Moon!" He yelled, waving his hands around to get the animatronics attention, to Ren's horror.
The animatronic whipped around and glared at him, "What are you doing?" He asked in a low and raspy voice, "It's past your bedtime..." Then it swooped down at Martyn who ducked just in time.
"Skizz you better fucking thank me!" Martyn yelled.
Getting a thumbs up from Skizz, Martyn nodded. He put a hand on the ball pits edge and jumped over it. Martyn ran across the daycare, ducking under Moon's claws as he made his way to the desk. He had to avoid the millions of blocks and toys in the way of his path, trying not to trip. That's when he spotted Impulse. The daycare attendant ducked down, gutting his and Tango's desk drawers for something. Martyn finally made it to the desk and slid next to Impulse.
