Harry got up by him being grabbed and thrown out of the backseat. He groaned and looked up at his Uncle. "Would you stand up now, we got somewhere to be, you useless brat!", his Uncle yelled. Harry just sighed and stood up. He was still tired, it was the best sleep he got in a while, if he had to be honest. Well... everything was going to get him have a better sleep then in the Cupboard.
Snapping out of his thoughts, he noticed that they were on an outskirt of a big city. And his Uncle walked into a gloomy-loocking hotel. Dudley and Harry shared a room with twin beds and damp, musty sheets. Dudley snored but Harry stayed awake, sitting on the windowsill, staring down at the lights of passing cars and wondering....
_____________________They ate stale cornflakes and cold tinned tomatoes on toast for breakfast the next day. They had just finished when the owner of the hotel came over to their table.
"'Scuse me, but is one of you Mr. H. Potter? Only I got about an 'undred 32 of these at the front desk."
She held up a letter so they could read the green ink address:
Mr. H. Potter
Room 17
Railview Hotel
Cokeworth
Harry made a grab for the letter but Uncle Vernon knocked his hand out of the way. The woman stared.
"I'll take them," said Uncle Vernon, standing up quickly and following her from the dining room.
Harry sighed, he still didn't understand why he wasn't allowed to read them. ,,Aunt Petunia? Am I allowed to go back to Dudley and my Hotel Room? I could start packing our stuff, I heard that Uncle Vernon wanted to continue driving soon", he asked his Aunt and waited for her answer. She was thinking about what to say "Go to your Room and pack all of our stuff! Don't dare to forget anything!!!", Harry sighed again and nod "Yes Aunt Petunia".
In the room, Harry absently started packing all of the stuff that they took out of their Bags. He was wondering about the letter, why he wasn't allowed to read them and why the hell there are so many. Like How comes that their House was filled with them and to this Hotel had about hundreds of them.
Without noticing, one of the Letters flew directly under his longarm shirt.
"Wouldn't it be better just to go home, dear?" Aunt Petunia suggested timidly, hours later, but Uncle Vernon didn't seem to hear her. Exactly what he was looking for, none of them knew. He drove them into the middle of a forest, got out, looked around, shook his head, got back in the car, and off they went again. The same thing happened in the middle of a plowed field, halfway across a suspension bridge, and at the top of a multilevel parking garage.
"Daddy's gone mad, hasn't he?" Dudley asked Aunt Petunia dully late that afternoon. Uncle Vernon had parked at the coast, locked them all inside the car, and disappeared.
It started to rain. Great drops beat on the roof of the car. Dudley sniveled.
"It's Monday," he told his mother. "The Great Humberto's on tonight. I want to stay somewhere with a television.
Monday? Harry thought, means tomorrow is my Birthday... well I just hope that it won't be too hard... and I hope I atleast, I got to have a peaceful one. Harry's thoughts got interrupted by Vernon coming back.
He was also carrying a long, thin package and didn't answer Aunt Petunia when she asked what he'd bought.
"Found the perfect place!" he said. "Come on! Everyone out!"
It was very cold outside the car. Uncle Vernon was pointing at what looked like a large rock way out at sea. Perched on top of the rock was the most miserable little shack you could imagine. One thing was certain, there was no television in there.
"Storm forecast for tonight!" said Uncle Vernon gleefully, clapping his hands together. "And this gentleman's kindly agreed to lend us his boat!"

When they arrived at the little island with the Shack, it was night time, the storm soaked them bone wet and they were shivering like crazy.
Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and Dudley all took a shower as soon as they were inside. Of course all one at a time. Harry wasn't allowed to. As everyone went to Sleep, his Aunt and Uncle upstrairs in the Bedroom and Dudley on the motheaten sofa, Harry begann to draw a cake with Candles and a 'Happy Birthday Harry' in the floor. He himself had to sleep on a makeshift bed on the floor, means a thin blanket on the floor and only his Clothes to warm him.
He loocked at the watch on Dudleys Arm that has fallen of the Sofa and checked the time 11:59pm. It were mere seconds befor his birthday and he kept watching the second caunter on the watch. At exactly 12 am, he turned to the drawing, made a mental wish and then blew the drawing away.
He flinched when he heard a loud
BOOM
The whole shack shivered and Harry sat bolt upright, staring at the
door. Someone was outside, knocking to come in.
