The Necklace

chapter 6

My mother came into my room and told me that I now, had someone compatible with me. I was beyond happy, as you could imagine. I later came to find out that this person was in my town, and came of age the same time I did, also recieved no match, retook the test, and got match with me.

At dinner my mother announced that she also, was going to take the test to get a new husband, seeing as she is 35. I was taken aback by this news, but nonetheless supported her just like we both have always done for each other.

My mother left this morning to take her test, and because people under 20 were not to be left alone, she had to call in her friends son, Gaige. He was 21 years old, so he was already married, and presumably has a child. When he walked in he poilietly greeted me,as he should. Hw began to inch closer and closer. This was extremely odd for me, seeing as my male sightings have been slim to none.

As we got talking, I found out that he did not have a match, or a match made by the government because they said that the way his mind worked,also becuse he was very mischievous im his younger years. and they were unable to get any information about him at all.
So my assumptions were wrong. All of the sudden, Gaige got up and excused himself, then I heard a crash, I rushed to see what had happened, only to see that Gaige had broken a vase, and had blood all over himself,coming from his head. I shamed hom for wreaking our vase, took him to the bathroom to get all cleaned up. Then escorted him to the den.

After a half an hour, I got up and declared that I was tired, I know I shouldn't have done that because he is my guest and he didn't have to be watching over me. Five minutes later, Gaige walks in and sat in the chair in the corner. And assuming he thought I was asleep, he said that he really liked me, and that I gave him a new reason to live, though that was very forward, I thought it would be best is I had simply brushed it off. I continued to sleep, or at least try to, after what Gaige had said to me. When i woke, and walked back to the den, i found Gaige sitting on the couch, staring blankly at nothing. I asked him if he was alright, but he said no. Then he asked me " do you think.it fair?" i replied with " do i think what is fair?" the whole necklace phenomenon. I think we should be able to pick our own partners. I was absolutely flabbergasted by this, so, i said" what made you think this way?" i was genuinely concerned and curious to find kut waht was going throughout his mind." im broken........they broke me so many times, that it wasn't worth putting myself back together again." Just as i began to ask what he ment by tbat, my mother came through the door. I told Gaige that i wanted to meet with hom again. He agreed.

Alright everyone!!--im back did ya miss me? I got my inspiration back. Also im on school break soooooooooo.

First off want to tell you that Gaige is not a psychopath, he has been tortured in his past. And the government made him into someone completely broken,violent and depressed. Kinda sorta like hijacked peeta. We will learn about his past more the next chapter. So stay tuned folks. I also will update when I get 3 comments, and 5 votes.
