Moriah got to the Charms classroom and she entered looking around.
"Hey, Professor Flitwick, I'm here with the research for the charm I hope to create." She said smiling at him.
"Okay. Let's see everything you have so far." Flitwick said as he waddled over to them. Moriah nodded and brought out all her books and research papers.
"I intend to create a spell that makes flowers using flames." She said softly as she looked at him.
"It is a combination of Incendio (a charm that conjured a jet of flames that could be used to set things alight) and Periculum (a charm that shoots red sparks). I was thinking of combining them and creating a new charm all together." She added happily.
"I just need help testing it out. The incantation is Flos Igins. Translated from Latin to English means Fire Flower which is what I intend to create." She said as she looked at him. They both produced their wands and started practicing the spell. They weren't producing the results they hoped so Moriah decided to go to the library to do a bit more research.
"Hello, I'm Luna Lovegood with the Quibbler. We are doing a piece about you for our magazine." A young blonde, blue eyed quirky girl said as she looked at Moriah.
"Hello, I'm Lady Moriah Elizabeth Evans. It's a pleasure to meet you. What would you like to know?" She asked as she looked up at her.
"What's your favorite thing to do when you're not in class or studying?" She asked Moriah.
"I like hanging out with my friends and picking Professor Flitwick's and Professor Snape's brain about all my ideas. I'm working on this spell that makes the caster able to make cool flowers in the sky with fire." She said as she looked at Luna.
"That sounds very intriguing. Could you show me?" Luna asked.
"Sure let's go into the courtyard." She said. They went into the courtyard and Moriah produced her wand.
"Flos Igins." Moriah said, she was finally able to produce the flame from the top of her wand. She smiled and thought of a rose and the fire turned and took form as a rose. She shot the spell into the sky and smiled as it exploded.
"I did it!" She said excitedly.
"That was amazing." Luna said looking at her.
"Thank you. Is there any other questions you wish to ask?" Moriah asked.
"Tell us about yourself. We know that you come from a wealthy muggle family and are 19 years old. Tell us about your background." Luna asked her.
"My parents died in a house fire when I was six. My father's butler who was a wizard took me in and raised me. He was so happy when he found out that I was a witch. He showed me everything that I would need for school and I was happy. I learned a lot of stuff on my own before going. Since I was from a muggle family I had to work twice as hard as everyone else. When I was at Illvermory, I was bullied for being an outsider. I tried to ignore them but it only got worse. They beat me up and abused me there. So I switched to Hogwarts and prayed that things would be different. And they are different, I have been told that I have been changing things during my time here." She said as she looked at the interviewer who wrote everything she said down.
"I think that I have everything that I need from you." Luna said as she packed up her stuff.
"It was nice meeting you, Luna. I hope that we will be good friends." She said smiling. Luna nodded and walked off. Luna lined up all her friends and Professors in chairs and began the interview.
"So what's your favorite thing about Moriah Evans?" Luna asked the group.
"Definitely her smile. It lights up even the darkest of rooms." Pansy said as she looked at them.
"Her Hugs." Draco said simply.
"She is the easiest person to get along with. Plus she is a great dancer." Hermione said smiling happily.
"She's the friendliest person, you'll ever meet." Draco said.
"Well, she always shares her food with me." Ron said smiling as well.
"She is so kind and sweet." George said.
"She is simply an amazing person." Fred said.
"She is my bestest friend, I don't know what I'd do without her." Ginny said looking at her.
"One word, Stunning." Harry said.
"She is great at giving advice and understanding what others are going through." Neville said.
"She is utterly amazing and very smart. That girl is going places." Flitwick said.
"From what I have observed she seems to be very talented in her magic abilities. She also has an endless thirst for knowledge." Snape said to the interviewer before turning around and leaving.
