Severus walked over to her and offered her his arm.
"Shall we dance, Moriah?" He asked her.
"We shall. But what happened to 'I don't dance'?" She replied.
"I made an exception." He said softly. They walked into the ballroom together. The couples take their positions for the dance. They bow and curtsey to their respective partners. Moriah and Severus took each other's hands and waltzed around the floor gently.
"You look amazing in that outfit." He said as he looked at her.
"I could say the same for you." She said smiling. He held her hand and gently pulled her closer by her waist as they danced together.
"You are a man shrouded in mysteries, Severus Snape." She said as she smiled as they danced, everyone around them looked at the two.
"I'm the last of my bloodline so I have a fortune to spend however I wish." He said as he looked at her.
"Of the Pure-Blood Prince Family?" She asked.
"Yes, however I don't hold the same ideals they had." He said softly as they danced around the room together.
"That's good. I'm really glad that you came." She said softly.
"Me too. I wasn't sure at first but I have found something that is worth living for." He said as he looked at her.
"What's that?" She asked him. He twirled her around again before pulling her back and dipping her gently.
"You." He said as they danced around the room together. She recognized the music in the background. The song Past Lives by Borns.
"Ooooh, ooooh, ooooh." Moriah sang harmonizing with the music playing in the background.
"Past lives couldn't ever hold me down. Lost love is sweeter when it's finally found. I've got the strangest feeling. This isn't our first time around." Moriah sang as she looked into the eyes of Severus Snape. Their eyes met and it felt like everything that they had experienced now made complete sense.
'He's my reason. He's my everything. How could I have not seen it before? I really am an idiot.' Moriah thought as she continued the song.
"Past lives couldn't ever come between us. Sometimes the dreamers finally wake up." Moriah sang as they bowed to one another before coming together and dancing around the room. He twirled her and pulled her into his arms.
"Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming. Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming." Moriah sang as Severus dipped her in his arms.
"Past lives couldn't ever hold me down. Lost love is sweeter when it's finally found. I've got the strangest feeling. This isn't our first time around." Moriah sang as she smiled up at him as he pulled her up and into his arms. Their eyes connected once more and she felt safe. Like nothing would ever happen to her as long as he was by her side.
"Past lives couldn't ever come between us. Sometimes the dreamers finally wake up." She sang as they danced around her abnormally large living room.
"Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming. Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming." Moriah sang along as they waltzed.
"Past lives couldn't ever hold me down. Lost love is sweeter when it's finally found. I've got the strangest feeling. This isn't our first time around." Moriah sang as they danced.
"Past lives couldn't ever come between us. Sometimes the dreamers finally wake up." She sang as they stared into each other's eyes. He twirled her around and pulled her back into his arms.
"Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming. Don't wake me, I'm not dreaming." She sang together as they danced until the song ended."I never knew you could sing." Severus said as he looked at his dancing partner. She smiled as she continued.
"Well there are multiple things that you are yet to find out about me." She said as she looked at him.
"Guess we will both learning something new about each other." Severus said as he looked into her eyes. She looked up at him as feathers began to fall from the ceiling, scattering about the room. She and Severus both looked up and smiled happily. When they returned to normal Severus' eyes met Moriah's. Their eyes met and it felt like everything that they had experienced now made complete sense. Severus leaned in and placed a gentle kiss onto Moriah's lips. Moriah gasped softly as she leaned into the kiss and began kissing him back. They pulled away and stared into one another's eyes. Severus and Moriah stood there looking at each other.
"Someone pinch me." She said as she looked at him.
"Why on earth would you want someone to do that?" He questioned.
"So I know this is real. That we really danced and kissed. This is like a dream come true." She said as she looked at him.
"It's real and everyone saw it. I'm going to be in so much trouble." He said.
"Why? Everyone here knows how I feel about you. It's not like I was keeping it a secret." She said as she looked at him.
"I've been staring at you since the day we met. I wish I could be the perfect daughter but no matter how hard I try, my feelings for you are overwhelming. I love you, Severus Tobias Snape." She said as she looked at him.
"You are such a foolish girl. You know nothing about me." He said as he pulled her to himself.
"I know everything about you Severus Snape. I did my research on you." She said as she looked at him.
"I know about your past and what you did. I know everything that was done to you by others. I know about your one true love. I know everything so there is no need to worry. I'm not leaving you anytime soon." She said as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around her and sighed in relief. He finally found the one person he didn't need to wear the mask around. He relaxed and pulled away from her.
"Thank you, Moriah." He said as he looked at her.
