Viaanshi's Pov

"Hey! Are you okay?" I heard a familiar voice.

Looking up, I saw a person holding an umbrella. The sunlight made their face hard to see.

"Can you hear me? Are you okay?" they asked again, sounding worried.

"Aanshi?"

The sudden recognition in their voice surprised me.

How did they know me?

Why did their voice sound so familiar?

But putting aside my confusion, I quickly stood up, wanting to leave.

My mind was a mess, my hands and legs shaking with nervousness. I couldn't think straight.

But before I could go, they gently grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"Aanshi! It's me, Aarushi," their voice cut through the chaos, keeping me in the moment.

Hesitantly, I looked back and saw it was indeed Aarushi.

Relief flooded me, and I took a step forward, wanting to hug her. But a realization made me stop moving.

I tried to pull my hand away, but Aarushi's grip didn't loosen.

"What are you doing here, Aanshi? And at this time? Have you lost your mind? And why are you trying to run away from me?" Aarushi asked, sounding concerned and frustrated.

Unable to face her, I looked away, holding back tears.

"Wha-"

Before Aarushi could continue, the sound of approaching footsteps interrupted us.

Panic surged through me as I looked around for a place to hide, but there was nowhere.

As the footsteps got closer, my heart raced. Suddenly, a hand grabbed mine and pulled me into darkness. I couldn't see anything, only the black around me.

"Are you okay?" Aarushi's voice was tense.

Turning to her, I responded a bit rudely,

"Why do you care? And why did you bring me here?"

"Are you crazy? Why are you talking like this? Okay, first, take a deep breath and have some water. Then we'll talk," she said, giving me a water bottle from her bag.

I hesitantly took the bottle and drank the water quickly, giving it back with a quiet "thank you."

Her faint smile made me feel guilty for my earlier rudeness.

She asked again, more softly,

"What happened?"

Unable to hold back anymore, I hugged her tightly, and she hugged me back.
