I saw her expression go from a positive one to a regretful or upset expression
"Oh umm... Jake told me that you were weird and not to talk to you after I stood up for you and I don't like how they act but their parents know my parents and I've told them a lot of secrets about me and I really don't want to get in trouble..." She explained as we walked out of the school
"Oh, that makes sense, but remember, you always got me!" I said as I smiled brightly at her. She smiled back as Jake, James, and Olivia walked up by her.
"Hey what are you doing with her?" Oliva asked her in a very passive aggressive tone as she looked me up and down.
"I-" I was cut off as Lydia started talking
"I was trying to tell her that she's a freak and weird. That's all." She said before walking next to Olivia

Later that night I was laying in my bed when I got a text and when I opened it I saw it was from Lydia.

Lydia 💛: Hey I'm sorry I had to say that at school today, I just really don't want them to leave me and then tell my parents all the things I've told them before.
You: Hey don't worry about it, I get it.
Lydia 💛: alr, you know, you're a really nice person Ari. Thank you for being such a cool friend 💛
You: of course lils! What are friends for anyway yk? Anyway I'm gonna go to bed but I'll talk to ya tomorrow, Goodnight!

That night I had a dream about me and Lydia, we were at school, under the bleachers, when I turned to her and told her I love her before she pulled me close, said the same then kissed me. I suddenly woke up to my annoying alarm going off. "What the...." I said to myself as I remembered my dream. And then I realized....
