Nine ✶ Falling For YouThe group was now at the hotel they'd all booked, all in Mason's room as he had all the snacks.
"And then, she just swoops in line and the guard told her to get to the end of the line." They were currently talking about the woman they encountered at LAX who was getting upset over the long line and that the airport should've let her get into the priority line since she was a woman.
They all laughed, Neomi's hand slapping Charlie's arm as she threw her head back laughing. "The best part was when she was throwing even more tantrums when she fell on the floor cause no one bothered helping her!" Sofia continued the story, her body falling on the bed as she laughed tremendously and all the laughter died minutes later.
It was already 11 pm and their eyes started to get heavier than they usually were. Neomi was the first to leave, wanting to read before she slept which left the three alone in the hotel room. "So Charlie, what's up with you and Neo?" Mason brings the topic up as he turns to look at his friend.
The boy let out a deep breath but there was immediately a small smile on his face as her name was mentioned. He sits up from his position and speaks, "Nothing much actually. We've kissed once and been talking a lot..." Sofia's eyes widen, her body shooting up from the bed.
"You what?" Her voice was loud and her eyes were still wide, waiting for the next thing he had to say. He covers his mouth with his hand, blinking hard in regret. Mason was scrolling through his phone as the two rambled about kissing their dark-haired friend. "I can't believe you just told me now!" She says in between pillows being thrown to his face.
The moment the commotion died down, they all went their separate ways and went to rest in their rooms as they had a packed day tomorrow.
The light that seeped through the window had hit Neomi's face while she was getting ready. Music was heard throughout the hotel room as she put her hair in a towel bun. She hums the tune of Niki's song, Every Summertime while she takes her clothes from her suitcase. She picks out her pair of mid-waist jeans, a grey coat, and a white top.
She was always quick to get ready, barely putting any makeup on besides eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick, and she was also grateful her hair was naturally wavy and didn't have to style it that much.
On the other hand, Charlie took a while to get ready. His mind was filled with thoughts of what they'd be doing today and how he'd have alone time with Neomi. He knew she was going to look great today — she always was.
His suitcase was opened widely and his clothes were scattered on the floor. He ends up taking jeans, a black sweater, and his coat.
While getting ready, he hears his friends banging on his hotel room's door. Instantly shoving all of his clothes into his suitcase.
"Charlie! We've been waiting for you!" Sofia and Mason were on the other side of the door but Neomi was nowhere to be found. "Devyn's at the lobby already and we still have to get Neomi since she's at the end of this hallway." Sofia now looks at his figure. His hair was still damp and his shoelaces weren't tied.
The boy's lips were pursed together then she spoke again. "Okay, maybe we'll just get back to you while you..." She looks at him up and down then points at him. "Fix this whole thing." She grabs Mason's wrist and then drags him to where Neomi is. Mason gives the boy a look and Charlie just closes the door.
