Shorty after, she parked her car at her reserved parking space at her own condo complex. She sighed as she got out of the car and spotted someone familiar. "Kenta!"

"Kendall? Thank goodness you're safe!"

"What?"

"I've been worried since I heard that Mizuki abducted you."

"No he didn't."

"Huh..?!"

"He didn't do anything wrong, but he still go shot..." She felt herself tearing up.

"What?!"

"I really want to see if he's ok, but I don't know what hospital he's at."

"I think I know where Mizuki is hospitalized. I overheard Sora on the phone about thirty minutes earlier and heard the name of the hospital."

"Really?! Then jump in!" She went back into the car, and he got into the passenger seat.

"It's one that I know and it's called..." He gave her the name of the hospital as she was putting it into the GPS.

They made it inside the hospital, and snuck into the emergency ward. 'Good thing I still kept that gun that I got from when I was first kidnapped. I'm gonna need it. I just have this really strong feeling that something is going to happen...'

"It should be either room 503 or 530. Let's try room 503 first."

Since it was the closest, they found it but it wasn't the right room. "It must be 530." Kendall said.

"It's at the far end. Let's hurry!"

They rushed down the hall and found the room they were looking for. "He's in here!" He quietly opened the door.

As they were stepping into the room, they saw Mizuki lying in the bed hooked on a monitor. "Kendall! Someone's coming!" He pulled her arm, hiding themselves under the bed.

The door opened and the sounds of footsteps were getting closer. "Yeah, I'm sure. This is our target."

"Poor guy. He's on an IV. It just makes it easier to inject the drug in him."

She inhaled and exhaled, and Kenta suddenly leaped out from the bed. "Suspicious individuals present!"

"What..?"

Kenta attacked both of the men. 'Holy shit... He's tougher than he looks...' One of the men punched Kenta in the face. 'Ok! My turn!' She got out from under the bed.

"What?! Another one?!"

She had a gun behind her back, and shot the ground which made both men jump. "Wha-"

She pointed the gun at them. "Don't move unless you still want to live."

"Where did you get that?!"

"You don't know what I'm capable of."

"You're probably chicken to really shoot us!"

She shot at their feet which made them scream. "You wanna repeat that?"

"Kendall! Don't move!" Mizuki said and swiftly made his way to the man and twisted both of their arms. "Boss! They're secured!"

Katsuragi came out of nowhere. "Subaru! Kaiji! Handcuff them!"

"Got it!"

"Sora, contact Ishigami!"

"Understood!"

"It's fine! He contacted us already!" Mito said.

She put the gun on safety and put it back in her purse. "What the hell just happened..?"

"You did great, Kenta!" Kaiji said.

"T-Thank you."

"I can tell you're working really hard!"

"It's all thanks to you Kaiji!"

"Take these guys to headquarters."

Kenta saluted him and took away the two men with Kaiji and Subaru.

"I was surprised that you came here, Kendall." Mizuki said.

"Well... Here I am."

"Good grief... You can't just shoot a gun in a hospital..."

"I wasn't planning on shooting anyone. It was just to intimidate them which worked."

"Are you surprised by all of this?"

"Yeah, because I thought this was all real but it was only an act."

"This was all my plan!" Mito said.

"You guys could've just told me. I would've played along too."

"We're sorry for all of this, Miss Ferreira. However, we had to fool Araki and Tadano." Katsuragi said.

"I see. So you shot Mizuki with red paint?"

"Correct, Miss Ferreira."

"We all knew Mizuki was never guilty in the first place. Out of the testimonies, Congressman Tadano was the most suspicious in Congressman Yokoi's murder." Mito said.

"That makes sense now."

"We were worried about Mizuki's reputation if this kept going on so we had to set up a trap in advance. Those two men that came in here fell for it."

"I had to pretend I was the culprit and then I had to be seriously injured and hospitalized. Tadano would've thought of a plan to kill me."

"So... You came here on your own free will since you thought this was a chance to kill you. Since you had to act like the real culprit, he needed to somehow get rid of you, right?"

"Haha! You're absolutely right! This was an excellent act we put together!" Mito said.

"I'm just glad that this whole thing is over now..." Kendall said.

"Shall we clear out for now?"

"Yeah, we should."

They both went out leaving Mizuki and Kendall alone. "At least it's resolved."

"I don't know... But it should clear the suspicion of me. That's why I'm going to the headquarters with Chief. I think they'll listen to my testimony this time."

"They will! So... When this thing finally settles down, wanna go on a date?"

"Of course! It feels like it's been a long time!"

"Where should we go?"

"I know where, but you'll have to find out when we get there."

"I'm ok with that." She kissed him and he kissed her back, pulling her close to him.
