Tyler didn't know what to wear to the Halloween party that was happening that night. He was with his friends in his room arguing about what to wear. He had bought costumes with his friends, but the costume now looked ridiculous.
It was an orange jumpsuit, color that hurt the eyes, accompanied by fake handcuffs.
"Dude, the chicks are going to love seeing you in that suit!" Diego tried to convince him.
"I know I'll look good in this kind of suit, Diego, no need to kiss ass. It's just that it looks a little absurd," Tyler said.
After Diego convinced (= nagged) him to wear his costume, they finally left to join the rest of their friends at the party. Not without saying goodbye to his family. His brothers jumped on him at three, and his mother just rolled her eyes while his father prepared the meal.
"So the little brother is going to a party, huh! It seems like just yesterday you were a poor little virgin begging me to take you to a lot of parties!" shamelessly teased the older Mickael.
"I get you ! Young people grow up so fast. I still remember when you wanted to kiss that girl and you sneezed on her, I never laughed so much! You should have seen the poor girl's face, man," laughed Jardon, the second of the siblings.
"Guys, leave him alone! You know he could jinx us!" replied Brandon much too amused.
"It only happened once, and I was sick!" snapped Tyler annoyed, by their teasing.
"Poor Tyler, still in denial!" Micheal joked.
"Boys, be nicer to your little brother! We all get stressed out in these situations," their father scolded from the kitchen in an amused tone.
"It's true, Tyler is just a stressed-out little virgin," Brandon teased, causing everyone to giggle. Tyler even thought he heard laughter coming from the kitchen.
Tyler huffed in obvious exasperation at their teasing. It wasn't like they didn't get along with his brothers, it was just that they were constantly arguing and fighting. You could never understand siblings who argued and fought. Even though they fought and teased each other mercilessly all the time, they knew that if one was in trouble or needed a kidney, they would be the first to come to their aid. His older brothers had always said that it was their duty to piss off the younger brother. It was a so-called universal law. And they were constantly pushing him to get things for them or food because he were too chicken to get up.
His family was a family of mockers first and foremost. As much as he enjoyed teasing his teammates, it was impossible for him to win when he was with his brothers, they had too many secrets and embarrassing moments that they held against him. And unfortunately, Tyler didn't hold many secrets against them. And since he was the youngest in the family, his brothers tended to take advantage of that.
One time Brandon called him and took him out him off from practice, saying it was urgent. Tyler really thought something bad had happened, and he became panicked and anxious about the millions of scenarios that were already unfolding before his eyes.
He could already see his parents dead, his brothers devastated and in foster care. So when he found out that Brandon's emergency was that he had to hand him the remote control within 5 meters because he was too lazy, he vowed never to answer their call again. And also started a nasty fight with Brandon, although he still lost in the end. His brother was much stronger than him.
"Dad I'm off to the party!"
"Okay be careful son!"
Tyler went to join Diego, who was waiting for him in his room.
