I jolted awake as I was woken up by the sudden ringing of my phone.

Wearily I turn to my side reluctant to make contact with my phone but low and behold the insect that I thought I had killed with the back of my slipper decided to make his existence known.

I sat up in my bed as I pondered why exactly this insect had my number before I was reminded of the fact that he somehow convinced me to give it to him on our way back from the amusement park.

Fuck meeeee

'Why the fuck are you calling me?' I croaked out still adjusting to the fact that I'm awake

'Ahh..good morning to you to'

'Get to the point'

'Oh well, since you mentioned it I might as well umm will you be ready in an hour or so'

'For what..I don't have time for your bullshit today'

'Umm to meet my parents remember'

And just like that the stupid agreement that I made in the heat of the moment returned to me making its impact known.

'Why would you only give me an hour you dumbass don't you know how long it takes to get ready'

'Can you just try darling' his voice came out in a low pleading tone that not even I could refuse

'Fine' I manage to scoff out before ending the call while he was mid conversation.
I dragged the corpse which was my body out of bed and played my playlist as a way of coping with the dreadful day that was about to ensue.

I was getting ready to do my make up when I was interrupted by the sound of my doorbell. I got up absentmindedly almost cursing at the person continuously pressing my doorbell. I opened the door. Then I immediately closed it.

'Brown open the door'

I sheepishly opened the door to be met by the confusion of my rival.

'Don't really know why you slammed your door in my face but then again we are talking about you'

'I'm not ready yet'

'You look ready to me what more do you need to do?' He genuinely inquired.

Men. They just don't understand.

'I haven't done my makeup yet'

'Huh couldn't tell.. anyway I brought you breakfast you didn't exactly specify so I went with waffles'

'I would say thank you but then again this is a pretty big favour you're asking me'

'Okay Brown let's not get ahead of ourselves'

'Just sit there and be a good boy ok'

'Yes mam'

I sat down at my vanity ready to do my quick ten minute makeup routine. I was in the middle of applying my blush when I realised a certain someone had moved from his spot, I quickly finished of my makeup spraying my setting spray and got up quickly to find that pesky little insect

I roam around my apartment that has magically seemed to triple in size and I find him looking at my extensive book collection

'I thought I told you to stay put'

'And you really think that I listen to orders'

'Considering the situation your in I guess I thought you'd make an exception'

'Sorry' he whispered so lowly under his breath the sound of my ventilator was louder

'Did you say something'

'For fucks sake I said I'm sorry'

I giggle to myself as we make our way to his car. I connect my phone to the aux knowing that he wasn't about to challenge me.

'My favourite colours green'

'Huh?'

'Just incase they ask'

'I'm sure they would ask me more serious questions than that'

'Well if they ask how long we've been dating say 2 months, and if they ask how we met just say in high school '

'Ok noted.. I've got to say seeing you this flustered is highly amusing'

'Yea I'm glad my suffering entices you darling'

' you really need to stop calling me that'

'Now why would I do that DARLING'

Maybe because of the way my stomach ties into a knot every time you do

'Fuck me' I groan loudly

'You have to do a little more begging for me to give into that'

I playfully slap him on the arm as we make the long journey to his parent's house.

'Do you have everything' Xavier asked as I exited his car

'Yea I have everythin- wait hold on I forgot my'

'Phone... you forgot your phone because you'd probably forget your head if it wasn't attached to your body'

'Ok I get it you can stop teasing me now'

We reach his parent's front porch and I take the deepest inhale that I can. Before we entered this world of uncertainty
