I woke up. Texted my boyfriend. Made my breakfast. Walked out my student accommodation. And into campus.

The same old routine.

Except everything would have been perfect if it wasn't for this little anomalous result on the data sheet of my life.

Who am I talking about you may ask.
None other than Xavier Lee. How I hated that tyrants name. Lee never backed down from a challenge and this ongoing rivalry between us was the biggest challenge of them all.

"Morning! Your looking even more repugnant than usual today my fiery witch" my rival retorted

" And your looking like you've just been to hell and back. Which honestly is quite fitting for your demon like characteristics. I can already see the horns sprouting from your head. I don't even think and excorsism could help you!"

1- Kiara : 0- Xavier

He scowled at me as he walked past me as if I was some type of mirage. Completely and utterly ignoring my existence even though he spoke to me first. But that was just Xavier. On and off. Hot and cold. He never truly learned how to pick a side. So instead he choose to play both sides with me.

I made my way after him. The pretentious dick And headed straight for the library. The library was like my sanctuary. My sacred place. It kept me company in times of need and calmed me in times of turmoil. If I were allowed to live here for the rest of my life I would seize the opportunity with not a moment's hesitation.

I headed for my little corner of the library. Everyone at Saint Brooke college was aware of the fact that this specific corner was reserved for only me and whomever I graciously allowed in it. So no one ever tried setting a single notebook down on the circular coffee table because they were aware that they would get burned.

I set my laptop on the table and started completing some extra assignments I asked my various teachers to set me. But for some reason my phone kept blowing up. I resorted to silencing my phone as the sound became unbearable. But this just bore an even bigger nuisance as the vibrations of my phone composed a astonishingly irritating symphony.

Curiosity got the best of me and I flipped my phone around. Unlocking it with my face ID. It was Beatriz.

The text message at the end of the string of messages read:
"Kiara I need you to open the link but DON'T freak out ok"

Beatriz was always quite dramatic so when she sent me the link of our colleges gossip site I honestly didn't care all to much. However the 35 missed calls made me feel a type of way. So I obeyed her command and opened the link.

To my surprise sprawled all over the gossip site was a picture of my boyfriend with his tongue down another girls throat.

I mean he might aswell have just vacuumed off her makeup with the way he was glued onto her face.

And then it hit me like a arrow to a bullseye. That was MY boyfriend. The one whom I just texted this morning. The one who has been the only constant thing in my life. The man I could truly say I loved with every fibre of my being.
Yet he betrayed me. He stabbed my heart repeatedly. Ripping it out my chest to watch it beat for the very last time. Everything froze. Our once burning romance reduced to ashes. For a single girl. Was I not enough? Did I do something wrong? Did my flames burn to much of his skin? Could he no longer handle the blazing fire in my heart?
