It was the day he officially lost him. The day where there was no going back. And he was there in front row to see it happen.
The wedding.
He was Denki's best man which meant he was there with Denki throughout the entire wedding process, the planning, the outfit choosing, the wedding, the speech, but to him it was easy to hide how he truly felt. He got to put on a fake smile and watch how he lost him.
On the after party however, someone approached him. Someone who he had forgot the many conversations he had in the past.
"Hello Hanta, it's been a while" Shoto spoke making Sero look at him and force a small chuckle "yeah sorry I haven't kept contact with you" Sero replied before taking a sip of his drink.
"How are you feeling?" Shoto said before looking over at Denki who was with his now husbands.
Sero seemed lost in thought for a few seconds, remembering how only Shoto knew about his feelings towards Denki. Mainly because he knew Shoto wouldn't tell a single soul about it.
"It's a bittersweet feeling you know...I'm happy for him, I'm happy to see him finally find love...but the constant reminder of how long I took to the point I lost him makes it so hard to..." he stopped himself letting a small sigh.
"I understand...for someone who ignores their feelings finding someone I love and losing them was...hard" Shoto explained making Sero frown remembering how Shoto lost Momo in an attack.
Sero sighed softly "don't compare her death to this...you lost her forever...you...won't get to see her again that's way much worst than this.." he said looking at Shoto who instead of being upset he had a small smile on his face.
"But at least she's in peace now, and the memories will never be forgotten. I know I'll be hard to let go of those feelings, and maybe you never will but accepting them and accepting what happen will make you feel better." Shoto told him.
Sero nodded a bit and smiled softly "thanks Sho" he replied before Shoto made him stand up "now get up and have some fun"
Sero chuckled softly "I rather go home" he said as he stood up. "We'll then let's go, we'll do something to get you distracted from those feelings" Shoto said as he started to walk to his car, Sero following behind.
Sero smiled a bit looking at Shoto "you don't have to do this you know" he spoke as the two got on the car.
"I know, but when will we have time to catch up" Shoto said smiling softly as he looked over at Sero "Fair point"
Once they were home they were sitting on the couch eating some food they had ordered while they watched a movie, Sero having his head resting on Shoto's shoulder as the two watched the movie, or at least pretended to.
Sero let out a sigh and looked at Shoto "you ok with me drinking?" He asked making Shoto look at him and nod "of course, I don't see why I wouldn't be ok with it" he replied.
"I don't want to make you uncomfortable by me drinking, let's say Denki's now husbands don't like to see me drink the amount of alcohol I usually drink" Sero said.
"Well I'm not them so go for it" he said as a small smile formed on his face.
Sero smiled and nodded as he headed to get a bottle of vodka, immediately taking a few sips from it before he sat back down "want some?" He asked handing the bottle to Shoto.
"Sure" he replied before taking a few sips, this time he was the one resting his head on Sero's shoulder.
Eventually the two finished the bottle. Unlike Shoto who was letting small chuckles whenever he hiccuped from being drunk, Sero was just spaced out, with a blank look on his face.
"Come onnnn chEer up!" Shoto spoke, his voice cracking a bit before it was interrupted by another drunk hiccup, but Sero was still spaced out making Shoto groan in annoyance and pull Sero for a messy kiss.
That's when Sero's senses came back to him, his eyes widening a bit before melting at the kiss.
The two kept making out, completely forgetting about the world and just focusing on the moment "have I ever told you how handsome you are?" Shoto said before another kiss followed making Sero unable to give an answer.
But as each second passed the kisses became more and more passionate, things slowly escalated and the kisses let to more than just flirting and making out.
When Sero woke up he was on bed, but he wasn't alone. Shoto who was still asleep had his arms around Sero's waist. Both without any clothes.
Sero tried recalling how the two had ended up like that but the headache caused by being hung over kept him from remembering, so instead he slowly got out of Shoto's grip and got dressed.
When realization hit Sero he felt disgusting, he felt dirty at the fact that he was so drunk to even think of where things might of gone.
His anxiety heighten as he heard a small groan "Hanta..?" Shoto spoke rubbing his eyes soon realizing everything.
"Sho" Sero spoke in a nervous tone as Shoto quickly got up and dressed "I have to go, I'll talk to you later" was the only thing that Shoto said before he walked out of the room and out of Sero's house.
Sero frowned and felt anger towards himself "the fuck is wrong with me.." he mumbled before he teared up and went over to the kitchen grabbing a trash bag and shoving all of the alcoholic drinks he had and throwing the bag away.
Once he was done he just sat on the couch alone with his thoughts, just like always. The only difference is that now Sero fiddled with a blade ready to add more cuts on his arms as he listened to every single thing his mind would tell him, his thoughts and self hatred took full control over him.
He had lost all control over himself, all for trying to repress all the depressing and heartbroken feelings away, but he could only repress them for so long until those feeling caught up to him, and now the only way he could control it was by feeling the irritating feeling on his arms and watched the blood drip down his wrists.
