Chapter two
The Academy
Robin"Please have letters ready to be stamped!" A woman in a slim cassock called at the front of the line, around him young adults from ages eighteen to twenty-five huddle closely in a single file line. All from different backgrounds, some Robin noted spoke different languages, ones he couldn't recognise.
"If your letter is not appropriately signed, you'll be directed into the room on the right, if you paid attention to what was written in the letter you will be sent to the room on the left."
Robin glanced down at the letter in his hand, only his signature was on the page. He had hoped this wouldn't affect him getting into the building, but clearly needing the other signatures were important. He'd have to ask once he got up to the front. Robin folded up the letter; the one sent from the Zodiac Academy addressed to their old employer. Did they steal it? Yes. Was it worth it? Robin was questioning that as he looked around.
Everyone here seemed... weird, weirder than everyday weird people. Some wore clothes like him, jeans and a band shirt that was barely holding itself together. Others looked like they belonged in a fantasy book, not to mention there were about seven adults wearing cassock's that looked more fantasy-punk than religious. Had Robin known this academy was a comic-con like event he wouldn't have risked getting fined or worse for stealing someone's mail and undoubtedly losing his minimum wage house sitting job.
The line moved forward, and Robin was shoved ahead by a rather angry blond behind them "move it" they glanced over his shoulder at her. She was much taller than Robin, wore an elaborate leather jumpsuit, like something out of a movie and had a sword about the size of Robin himself strapped to her back.
Robin turned away as non-threateningly as possible and stepped forward. Okay so clearly, he was not supposed to be here, Robin weighed the idea of just turning around and leaving. He couldn't return to his old employer and would probably have to leave Sanctus for another city- "hey kid" Robin looked up.
A huge guy stood over him with a bright eye squinting smile "could I go before you?" Robin realised the front of the line was a person away.
This could be a opportunity for him to get out of here "sure-"
"Hey!" The woman behind Robin pointed at him "get in line like everyone else Mathew" this Mathew guy didn't seem intimidated by the woman's threatening tone, then again, they were as tall and muscular as each other.
"I wasn't speaking to you Aries; I was talking to the kid in front of you"
Robin frowned "I'm not a child-"
"I'm not waiting any longer than I have to. Get behind me Matty" Mathew's eye twitched though he managed to keep a smile on his face "are we doing this right here?"
The woman leaned over Robin while Mathew leaned over him on the others side trying to get in each other's face, seemingly forgetting about Robin who's now stuck between them "right now" she seethed.
Seconds before a fist no doubt connected with a nose the woman at the table shouted "hey! You three!" They froze "into the right room, now."
The blond woman made a variety of confused noises before saying "but- I have the form" the lady rubbed her temple no doubt exhausted "don't care, you're not my problem. Right room. Now."
Mathew smirked at the woman who cursed and shoved her way toward the room, kicking the door open into the right room. Robin backed away but Mathew laid a heavy hand on his shoulder "sorry about that kid, Brutus tends to drag everyone into her messes."
