I said as he smacked his lips, tossing the controller into his lap. "But what you mean? Who?" I said actually paying attention. "Angel fool," he said as I chuckled to myself. "That's my dawg," I said as he groaned. "Awe hell naw. Yall asses more than just gang. I'm not buying that," he said as I laughed. "Nah I'm dead ass. She cool as hell. But like shorty JUST got out of a relationship. I'm not pressing nothin'," I said as he nodded understandingly. "Damn twin, I thought we was finna be in the dating besties shit," he said making me laugh. Before I could speak, my phone rang, and I smiled a little seeing it was Angel calling me. "Wassup Reesey?" I answered as her face appeared on my screen, looking like she was just chilling. "Hi, what are you doing?" She asked as her dog climbed up next to her. I mugged the little rat before responding to her.

"Playing 2k with Meechie. Wassup?" I asked as I sat the phone in my lap picking my team. "Oh I was finna see if you wanted to bring me some food, but it's fine I'll just order it I guess," she said in a knowing voice. Meech looked at me before laughing hard as hell. "Angel what?" I said in disbelief. Her ass was spoiled as hell because why would she not just Uber eats or something. "I just don't like the random people coming the my apartment. It makes me feel unsafe," she mumbled as she grabbed her phone, making me realize I was on her iPad. I sighed before looking at Meechie who shook his head. "I know damn well," he started off as I laughed. "I'll be back she right up the street," i said as I stood up, grabbing my keys. "Angel, you got this nigga whipped already?" He tried to yell as I closed the door. "What he say?" She asked not really paying attention. "Nothing important. What you want to eat mama?" I asked as I got in my truck and I saw her face light up. "What are you by?" She asked as I waved that off. "What do you want to eat Angel?" I asked again, this time with more authority as she giggled. "Can you bring me some wings? All flats, Cajun, fried hard," she said as I nodded heading toward an Empire wings. "Lemme guess, and a large lemonade, extra ice," I said as she laughed. "Glad you know. What's your cashapp?" She said as I laughed. "Ang ion want your money. I said I got you, I meant it. Lemme call your order in and imma call you right back," I said as she nodded changing up. I did just that and just as I went to calm her back, my mom called me. "Well, nice to finally speak to my son. How's everything going down there?" She asked as I laughed. "My bad mama, I been busy, but imma do better and making time for you," I said as she chuckled. "Mmmhm I bet you have. That girl is cute Lani, I like her, and I see she has her own money. Keep her around," she said as I realized she was talking about Angel. "What you mean? What girl?" I said playing dumb. "The one they posted you with at the game," she said as I sighed realizing she was in fact talking about Angel . "That's not my girl ma. That's my friend Angel, she play on the women's team ," I said as she gave me a 'yeah okay' hummed response. "Well alright, I'll let you go I just wanted to check on you baby," we said goodbye and I ran isn't the restaurant to grab Angel and I'd food, before heading to her house I dialed her number once I pulled up and told her to come open the door. She came to the door, smiling as she had on a pink jogging set. "Awe you love meee," she said as she open the door fully and pressed a kiss onto my cheek, grabbing the bag. I followed her in and as the door closed I saw her teammate, Flaujae. "Wassup Flau," I greeted as she nodded at me. She seamed busy so we left her to whatever it was she was doing and went into Angel's room. I got comfortable and we ate together as her phone rang. "Damn someone always calling me when you over here. Hello?" She said as she answered the FaceTime on her iPad. "Hey booskie.so tell me why I was on the phone with Meech earlier and-," angel cute Raven off, panning the camera to me and she smiled. "Oh hey Jelo," she said before they changed the whole conversation. Females be sneaky as hell cause what was she finna say until Angel warned her I was here.

"Congrats mama. I'm proud of you," I told her as I hugged her tightly. She giggled, as we pulled apart and she hugged everyone else. Today was the day that Angel played against her old team, Maryland, and handed them an ass whooping with her almost triple double. While she was hugging her other friends, I looked to Meechie who shook his head laughing. He passed me the bouquet and I couldn't help but to laugh. I really like this damn girl. She pulled apart from her old teammate and when she turned around her has dropped. "Awe Jelani,," she whined as I smiled. "Thirty roses, for miss thirty, fifteen, and eight," I said as she hugged me again. "You're so sweet to me, thank you," she said as I nodded. "Anything for you baby girl. You want me to take em to the car?" I asked as she nodded. She handed them to me and went to catch up with her team. "Alright we can leave I think they riding back with the team," I said as he nodded. "Anything for you baby girl," he teased as I cheese necked him. "You love that girl, ain't it?" He asked as I stopped in my place. I thought about it before shrugging and continuing to walk. "I don't knew if love is the right word. But I really like her. A lot," I said as he smiled dapping me up. We made it to the car and I headed towards the airbnb. Since everyone was on winter break, we all rented a big ass bnb to spend the first two days of it with each other. About fifteen minutes after we made it there, the girls were pulling up. Angel made eye contact with me and jumped into my arms. I hugged her, placing a kiss on the top of her head. "Wassup lady. You played mad good today, I'm proud of you," I said as she smiled. I handed her back the flowers. "Wait take my picture," she said as she sat back in the passenger seat of the car. Raven took the picture as she geeked her head up. "Period. Who you know getting 30 long stems," she said as Angel stuck her tongue out. "Come on," I said as we all made it into the house. I walked into the bathroom, looking over myself as Angel walked in behind me. "Thanks for showing up for me today. I really appreciate you," she said as she wrapped her arms around my torso. "Always Baby girl. Say, take this picture with me," I said as she posed with her flowers. "Gorgeous," I mumbled as we went to go join the rest of everybody.

"Hey, before we go. Lemme holla at you," I said as I held Angel's waist. She looked up at me tiredly before nodding. We went to the kitchen, for some privacy as I leaned against the counter, pulling her between my legs. "What's up Jelani?" She asked folding her arms across her chest, pushing them up. Gots to stay focused my boy. I shook off the distraction looking her in her eyes. "You are so gorgeous Ang. But uh I really really enjoy being around you and I just wanted to thank you for the privilege to be closed enough to get to know you for you. You're a true gem," I started off as she cheesed. "Thanks booger head. You know o feel the same way about you. You know how we rockin," she said as I chuckled. "That brings me to my question. I really like you Angel, more than just a friend, and I was wondering if you'd allow me to take you out on a date?" I asked as she smiled nodding.
