It's been some time since Emma got divorced. She lives with her best friend, Vince, in NYC. Emma goes through a series of events that she will remember forever.
Emma nervously enters the bar, scanning the room until she spots who she thinks her date is at a corner table. She approaches, offering an anxious smile.
"Hi, are you... My date...?"
The looks up, awkwardly smiling as he fidgets with the menu.
They exchange introductions, and Isaac's awkward charm becomes evident.
Emma and Isaac continue their conversation.
"Haha, I used to be in a band a while back... Not up to much anymore though."
"Wait, Black Country, New Road? I used to listen to your music all the time in high school!

" Oh, really? That's cool. I didn't expect you to know us..."
Throughout the evening, Isaac's awkwardness heightens, and Emma discreetly messages Vince about the unfolding events.
"It's Isaac! From BCNR!!!! He is pretty awkward but I'm so glad you did this, Vince."
"Dw about it bruther."
As the night progresses, Isaac's awkwardness PEAKS, but the date becomes unexpectedly enjoyable. Emma and Isaac share laughter and stories.
"I'm having a great time, despite how fucking awkward you are."
Isaac awkwardly smiles. " Really? That's... great. "
"Your friend, Geordie... He's an interesting character..." Emma hesitantly says.
"Oh yea I fuckin hate that twat." Isaac bluntly states.
Emma just stares at him in shock but ignores it for now...
Their waiter comes over, a tall skinny blonde man who looks fucking insane.
"Hello! Hope you two are having a good evening! My name is Cal, I'll be your waiter."
Isaac and Emma exchange awkward glances but Emma is the first to speak up.
"Um, aren't you that kid who..." She pauses, letting the sentence finish itself.
Cal looks down at the two and shakes his head.
"I've turned my life around for the better..." He slowly puts his hand inside his pocket, as if he's reaching for something.

There's an awkward silence between the three.
"Anyways! What drinks can I start you two with?"
Emma and Isaac order and continue their conversation. They talk about music, movies, and Charlie XCX. The night continues and they eat their food when it arrives. Soon it's time to wrap up. "I've really enjoyed this night, Emma." Isaac has the stupidest look on his face as he gazes into her eyes. Emma is really not enjoying this but it's Isaac Wood, so she'll let it slide.
Cal comes around with the check and Emma's hand reaches out for it. Isaac stops her and shakes his head.
"I've got it, don't worry." Isaac smirks, getting ready for a silly little romantic argument.
"Oh ok." Emma doesn't put up any fight and lets the man pay for them.
Isaac frowns and reluctantly pays with 4 really, really, REALLY, crusty old $20 bills.
Emma soon notices that there's hushed whispers around them.
"Ryan Gosling...?" One of them says,
"Yeah that's gotta be him..." Another one states.
"What is he... Doing?"
Emma and Isaac take notice and glance to their right to see Ryan Gosling himself in a lonesome booth. He's covering his face with a menu and seems to be frantically moving.
Cal, their water, walks to Goslings table, ready to serve.
"Hello sir! How may I- OH MY GOD!!!!!" Cal shrieks and runs away, flailing his arms in the air in pure horror. He knocks over the menu and the whole restaurant can see Ryan Gosling EATING A HAMSTER. He viciously rips the hamster's flesh off and chews it evilly. There's blood everywhere and little furs flying off the poor hamster's lifeless body.

"ITS JUST STRESS EATING!!!" Gosling shouts out frantically as everyone screams in horror.
"OHMYGOD." Emma and Isaac shout in unison. Isaac romantically grabs Emma's hand and they run out of the restaurant.
The two quickly take a cab to Emma's home and the two sit in silence on the way home.
"What... was that...?" Isaac quietly says.
Emma just shakes her head, still in complete utter shock. The two arrive at the apartment and Emma has had enough.
"I would invite you in but.... Today has been,... Good but weird..." Emma shakes her head and sighs.
Isaac nods sadly. Emma rolls her eyes and literally shoos him away.
"Shoo."
Isaac walks away like a sad ant, and it starts to rain. Did he do something wrong? Was he too awkward? Was it the hamster thing? That wasn't even his fault! So why was she being so cruel to little ol Isaac? Who knows.... He walks home alone, in the rain. He quietly sobs.
