--------Chapter 4: Passing Time----
"How're we doing?" Ashley asked, seeing that Andy was awake as he sat down opposite him and Vic; Vic was still in the same position as earlier on when he'd been talking to Andy.
Andy gave a bit of a shrug, not too sure how he was doing; he hadn't really had much time to really even think about how he was doing. It was already starting to get dark; Ashley had been away all day, and he'd returned by himself. Was there even anyone else out there or were they the only three that survived the attack?
Upon Andy's silence, Ashley just gave a bit of a nod, looking over to Vic who was also clearly feeling the tension and slight awkwardness between all of them. Andy sighed and looked to Ashley.
"Look Ash, I'm real sorry," he said, seeing the slight surprise that crossed Ashley's face upon hearing the apology from him. "I know I've fucked up this whole thing with Juliet, but I just wantcha to know how grateful I am that you helped me out back at the prison; I'd probably still be there if you hadn't come to get me..."
Ashley looked at him sadly as he looked away. ic spoke up before Ashley could get a word in.
"Andy, y'know Juliet still loves you, right?" he said, seeing as Andy glanced up, his expression clearly stating how much he truly doubted that statement.
"I dunno why," Andy said in response. "All I've done since I pretty well broke up with her is be a complete asshole whenever she's around; not just to her, but to everyone."
"And that's perfectly understandable," Ashley put in, making Andy glance at him this time. "You're still hurt by the whole thing, so I think you've got the right to have a bit of attitude towards everyone."
Andy shook his head, clearly disagreeing with his former bassist.
"No matter how hurt I am, it's not an excuse to be like that towards anyone, no matter what they've done."
Ashley looked to Vic who just gave a shrug, seeing as the sun continued to set.
"So anyway..." Vic tried, clearly wanting to change to subject. He looked to Ashley again. "I'll take it you haven't...found anyone?"
Ashley shook his head as Andy just stayed silent."I didn't wanna wander too far, but I didn't find anyone," he said, keeping his voice down now, as it was starting to get quiet and the last thing they wanted to do was attract any attention to themselves, especially with the walkers. He gave a bit of a sigh and looked to Andy. "Think you'll be right to move tomorrow; morning maybe?"
Andy gave a shrug as his gaze stayed down again. "Guess we'll see tomorrow."
-----------------------------
Killing yet another walker, Matt pushed the closest moving corpse away from him; Ronnie was nowhere to be seen right now, and he knew that he'd most likely bailed on him, and knowing Ronnie Radke, that was what he'd done.
Growling with annoyance as the dead walker went down and dragged Matt with it, as his knife had become stuck, Matt knew he was out of ammunition, which meant that he was as good as dead by now. With no-one around, no Ronnie or anyone in sight and now basically no knife unless he got it out of the walker's skull, he wasn't going to last long, especially seeing as the herd of walkers was getting dangerously close.
He'd been killing the few stray ones that'd been getting in his path, but this was getting on the ridiculous side; the herd was way too close and it was making Matt uncomfortable. He and Ronnie had agreed to stay together, but now here Matt was, by himself in the middle of the woods, nearing the road and seeing no sign of his now former companion.
