Tom gazed up at the sign above the door with the logo of a simple smiley face and a blue backdrop, Thrifty's was next to it in big bold black letters. He stood for a few minutes before he stepped through the automatic doors. Various rows of shelves on the left contained mostly random items, and on the other side were multiple racks of clothing. The registers were bunched up toward the front near the doors where Tom stood. Not much had changed since the last time they'd been there a few weeks ago, it was something that's to be expected from a thrift store. This wasn't like going somewhere multiple times in a single week instead of new places or areas that hadn't been explored in a while. Lately with things being mostly the same all the time it made things more stress filled and much harder on Tom, he needed more variety in his life. Tord had stopped just inside the store and had his phone out. He was looking at his screen.

Tom took a few steps further into the store gazing around as he moved and placed his hands into his hoodie pocket. He didn't need anything from the store, but it was still a good idea to look just in case even though he had no intent to buy anything. Exhaling he stood to the edge of the first racks of clothing seeing Edd and Matt as they chattered loudly with each other. Tom couldn't pick up much from what they said other than that they were going down to the costume aisle not too far away from Tom. He watched Edd skip around in place for a few seconds before he paused to notice and wave at Tom who slowly waved back. It was nice to have friends that did notice him, and it wouldn't be something that he'd forget that easily, at least they were there with him.

After a few moments of standing Matt jumped up and led the way, he sprinted in the direction of the costumes. A small smile crested his face as Edd laughed and followed behind him by a few feet. That's when Matt ran down into the next row swerving flawlessly around the end of the rack. Edd on the other hand decided to run straight through the clothing and right into the bar that held various jackets, Edd instantly fell onto his rear as jackets fell off their hangers and landed on top of him. It didn't stop him from getting up and standing aside and rubbing his forehead to look at the mess that he created as he shrugged and started to hang everything back up. Tom put his hand over his mouth trying to prevent himself from laughing at Edd, it only held it back for so long until he let out a low chuckle. Edd glared as he continued to pick up like he did when they were out in public that is.

Tom knew that Edd could be a pain at times, but it was easy to forgive him and his goofy demeanor. But what stood out most from Tom is that Edd was one of his best friends even if sometimes things didn't go well between them. His friends were what he had and didn't want to lose them from something stupid such as an argument, it made him sick to think of losing anybody. That feeling of loss also included Tord even if he didn't want to admit it. Tom shook the thought from his head and ran his fingers through his hair watching as Edd picked up a long black overcoat from the floor. It was sleek and was in fairly good condition as Edd spun it around, the collar was sharp and was massive compared to the other jackets that were next to them.

Edd held up the jacket a little higher, "What do you think about this Tom? Does it suit me?"

Tom shrugged, "Put it on and let's see how the jacket looks."

Edd smiled and threw the jacket on and adjusted it and stepped around the rack as if it were a runway strip and went over to Tom. The long coat flowed with each step, and it fanned out behind him as he moved. Once Edd made it to Tom, he put his hands on his hips and shot him a wink. The two of them looked at each other silently for a moment. It did make Tom feel better that things were doing better now since they were kicked out of the Muse See Um, it wasn't such a big deal now that he thought about it. What happened there was now in the past for him and he needed to forget about it while he still could.

Tom nodded, "I like it, it suits you." Tom paused, "But we don't have the funds to get anything like that right now."

Edd frowned and sighed, "I guess you're right about that. We have been spending a lot lately." Edd tilted his head, "Can I at least wear it while we're here? It's surprisingly really comfy."
