The room shook as pictures and the bowling ball crashed into the floor. Assorted trinkets ranging from action figures to homemade statues that fell from the heights to be unable to be fixed. Trying to stand Tom felt the air swirl around him become faster as if a powerful tornado formed and they were in the eye of it, except for the fact it only remained inside the house. Tom glared at Tord who'd kept his smug grin on his face the entire time everything around them fell apart. Matt cringed and avoided shattered remains of broken memories that flew and cut through the air. Edd grasped tightly onto the edge of the table that the hourglass was set on.
Edd looked over and shouted at Tord, "Are you insane? You're destroying the house!"
Tord's grin grew wider, "I'm more than just insane, you should know that."
Without hesitation Tord reached over and pushed the large red button on his wristband and kept that hand firmly around one of the shower rods that held the hourglass together. A sudden and loud unordered rhythm of beeping and whirring came from within the hourglass as the lights of the house faded till they were on. It didn't take long until they flickered wildly like the overhead lights at a rave. Like a large and unavoidable black hole the TV began trembling wildly, it started to suck the four of them closer toward the screen. With his free hand Tom clung to the coffee table like Edd was. He dug his heels into the floor but to no avail, it wasn't slowing him down no matter what was tried.
Tom yelled, "Tord! What in the hell are you up to!"
Tord didn't respond. The sucking became more powerful with each second that passed. Tom struggled as the table moved with them. The force in the room failed to shake his hand from that clung to the hourglass. He gazed over and saw Edd and Matt fighting the currents as he was. Tord out of the four of them remained the most calm and let himself float in the air as gravity shifted and forced everyone off their feet. The table skidded across the floor and stopped as it clashed with the TV's entertainment system causing a ripple of powerful energy around them.
Matt was unable to keep his body in control and was the first of them to be pulled into the screen feet first. He screamed and cried out as one of his pictures flew off the wall, it came flying around and hit him square in the face, sending him the rest of the way into the screen. Edd tried his best to follow and help Matt only to stop part way to get hit on the side of his face by his Lucky Can, it too quickly got sucked into the portal. Edd reached his hand out for it as his body moved with his extended arm and his body pulled in after Matt. In no time Edd was gone too.
Tom turned his head to see Susan was also airborne. In full force it came flying closer in his direction, he ducked to avoid it. As it passed Tom he reached out for it with his open hand releasing the table only to realize that he'd let go. He went into the TV screen and began to scream but could hear nothing coming from his lungs. He cringed and thought that he wouldn't make it through but to his surprise he did so without a scratch. He looked over his shoulder as Susan zoomed past him with a powerful strum. The pressure of the air around them strummed against the strings.
A high electric jolt surged through his entire body. The four of them had crossed the border between the present time and soon to be the future. He had no idea what was coming and trembled at the thought of the unknown before him. Tom's insides screamed as they moved at what felt like light speed, he was barely able to keep his eyes open to the stream. The currents of air around them were stale but strangely motionless. It was ice cold against his body and his face.
Tom opened his eyes to a vast and wide open area filled with what looked like puffy clouds in shades of pink, yellow and orange. They pulsated around them in the sky-like area as they moved. Around them Tom noticed a white and transparent tunnel kept the four of them together tightly, much closer than Tom wanted to be. Matt moved and clung onto the hourglass with both of his hands, his eyes wide. Tom thought to himself that it was good he wasn't the only one that felt that way, this was a new and scary experience for them. Edd whimpered as Tom looked over, seeing him holding his chest, tears streaming his face. Tom's jaw dropped and a gasp escaped from him seeing what else was around them and vaguely to where they were headed. Nobody could tell exactly where they were headed. All except for Tord who had grinned. He knew more than they did. Tom saw Tord swish around them out of the corner of his eye.
