You just had a fight with your partner, because you found out that they lied about their real job and they are actually a ***. "I can explain-",
"What is there to explain? You lied to me! A marriage is about trust and you broke that". You shake your head, walking to the front door. "I can't do this anymore",
They try to stop you "please love, let me explain, I can explain". You pull your hand out of theirs, their broken and helpless expression breaking your heart along it, but you can't give in. You have to stay strong. "I need time to think about this, so give me that time",
You go to your old apartment, the home empty without them, and you live there for the past days. You open the blinds, staring at the rain drops racing on the window until something downstairs distracts you. Your heart warms up, just like it does everyday, when you look down the street and see a familiar black car parked there. They haven't approached you, but they are always there, needing to ensure your safety, but always in the dark.
You stare at the raindrops falling on their car, the car moving with the hard wind. You sigh, grabbing your phone and texting them for the first time in days.
"It's dangerous outside, go home"
"You are my home"
"Not without you", you look at their car, knowing they see you but you can't see them. They will stay awake the whole night, ensuring you are safe, in a cold and dark car. Even if they did wrong, you know they love you. And you love them just as much.
"You can come in, but you sleep on the couch"
"I don't deserve you"
"Come in before I change my mind"
