Yellow sprang up. "No! How long has it been since the last one?" Yellow asked no one in particular.
"About twenty minutes, I'd like to sa- Woah!" Green was cut off at the jerk of the ship being lurched to the side.
"Gah!"
"What the fAA-"
"EEK!"
"Ah!"
And just like that, Yellow had been knocked out of consciousness. Well... Sort of. He could hear voices but couldn't quite place who they were from.
"Poor little useless urchins of the Earth..."
"Jeez, you nearly killed them all!"
"Shut up. Drag them all away from her body before they wake up. I want lunch."
"You're gross."
"It's not like you're any better."
"Hey! I only eat the ones I like! It's like you're a masochist or something. Have some class!"
"Whatever, has anyone found out about Blue yet? You don't trust anyone too much, do you? You know our mission."
"Of course not, why would I be stupid enough to do that? Anyway, Where's the other one?"
"What other one?"
"The one the humans call Orange."
"I left her in the Café,"
"Is she unconscious?"
"Yes."
"Perfectionist."
"Who are you calling perfectionist, picky?"
"Oh whatever, meanie."
"You sound like a child."
"I'm older than you!"
"And I'm more mature. Now, I'll get Yellow, Cyan, and Green. You get the others."
"What? That's so unfair. You get all the frail ones! Besides, I got more than you."
"Green isn't frail. Stop complaining."
Yellow opened his eyes slightly, but his vision was blurry. He groaned in pain. He'd been knocked on his side and it felt like a huge bruise had formed. Worse, two of the most dangerous "humans" on the ship were right in front of him.
"Shit!"
"What?!"
"One of them is waking up!"
"Which one?"
"Yellow."
"Oh, we don't need to worry about him. I fooled him earlier; I can do it again."
Yellow shut his eyes tight. He didn't want to die yet.
Then everything went dark, but not like Yellow was dead or unconscious. The lights were out. It was a subtle thing, but now that no one was awake to shine their flashlight, it was pitch black.
"Ooh, what a save. What do you want, a medal?"
"I'll deal with him like I said."
Yellow was terrified. He didn't recognize the voice, he was right. It was some sort of alien or monster thing ready to chomp them all up. When the rude one said it wanted lunch, it was talking about the rest of White's body.
"Hello, Yellow. Or should I call you by your real name?"

THE_SPACE_BEAN_STORY [ORIGINAL TEXT]
FanfictionThe original text of my novel that I first started writing four years ago, The space bean story. The beginning is bad, but bear with me. I think the story behind it is pretty good. Ignore the plot holes, please :)
