Ellie knew how she and Mark had been trying for a baby. She was tired. But she wanted to make Mark happy. He had been broken since Sloan had left.
She knew she was ready for a baby. She knew she and Mark had overcome so much. And she wanted to be a mom. It wasn't going to be easy. She knew that. But she was sure that both her and Mark could do it.
Ellie and Mark were lying in bed together. Ellie looked up as Abby walked in. She smiled. "So, did you know Alex has a brother? Mer text me. His name is Aaron. And he's the opposite of Alex," she told her.
"Wow. Not sure how any of us could live with out knowing that," Mark said.
Abby frowned. "I'm not sure I like your attitude there Sloan. You need to behave," she said to him.
Mark rolled his eyes. "I'm literally naked under here. And I need the bathroom. So you either close your eyes so I can get up. Or go," he said.
Abby covered her eyes as Mark walked out. Abby turned to Ellie. "Is he okay?" She asked.
Ellie shook her head. She sighed. "Sloan leaving. It's really upset him. I don't know how to help him. But I'm trying," she said.
"I hope he'll be okay. I love my banter with him."
"He does too. He's just not having a good time at the moment," Ellie said.

Mark was standing at the coffee cart. He looked up as Callie walked over. "Thank you. Cappuccino?"
Callie smiled. "Cappuccino. So, how'd the date go with Ellie?" She asked as she turned to her friend.
Mark shrugged and took a sip of his drink. "I don't know if I'd call it a date. Doesn't going on a date imply actually going somewhere?" He said.
Callie looked to him. Oh, shut up. You had sеx instead of taking her out? Sloan she's a nice girl who deserves better than sex."
Mark rolled his eyes. He sighed. "Ellie is my girlfriend. And I take her out all of the time," he said.
Arizona walked over and smiled. "Hey, guys."
"Hey."
Arizona turned to the tender at the coffee cart. "Oh, pound cake. I love pound cake. Thank you. Rich, buttery pound cake. Yum. Pound cake. Pound cake?" She asked.
Callie shook her head and smiled. "Oh, I'm good. Thanks."
Mark smirked as he looked between the two of them. "So what exactly constitutes a pound cake?"
Arizona blinked as she looked to him. "It's a yellow cake..."
"There you go."
"Kinda heavy," Callie said as Arizona walked off. She sighed knowing how awkward it was.
Mark looked to Callie and smirked. "Come on. Code for something dirty, right? Like, you eat her pound cake, she eats your pound cake?"
Callie shook her head. "No."
"Oh please, tell me it's dirty, because otherwise, that was the most boring conversation I've ever been a part of," Mark said as he took a sip of his cappuccino.
"We are talking about pound cake because I want a kid and she doesn't, and we're not talking about that," Callie told him.
Mark looked to her. "How long are you two not gonna have that conversation? A year, two? Five?" He asked.
"Wow. So... you and Ellie eat pound cake?" Callie asked in an attempt to change the subject.
Mark frowned. "You're changing the subject."
