Two days before the dance, Cat and I went out shopping for dresses at the North Star Mall. "Cat, did I tell you Max asked me out?" I asked her, "No way! Congrats!" Cat said enthusiastically. "Oh my god! Vicky, look at that dress!" Cat pointed out a beautiful dress on the rack, "OMG! That dress is drop-dead gorgeous!" I tell Cat. "It's 95 dollars! I only have 30. It's so pretty, though!" Cat said to me. "Let's try it on!" I told Cat. She will look fire, so I'll buy it for her. Cat and I went inside to try on the dress.
When Cat walked out of the fitting room, she asked me if it looked good. "Heck, YES!" I yell too loud for everyone in the shop stares at me. "Sorry!" I whisper, "It's too expensive." Cat sighs, "Come with me, bring the dress" I tell her. When we get to the counter, I pull out my black credit card. Cat gapes at it. "Wha- Vick! You have a black card!?" Cat says "Oh! You didn't know? Hmm!" I say with a secret smirk under my mask of hair that the fan is blowing into my face. I knew she didn't know. "Thanks!" I told the cashier. As we walked out of the shop, I could see Cat jumping and squealing in my peripheral vision.
We then went to a couple of makeup shops in the mall and went to a jewelry shop to get more accessories.
"I'm a VAMPIRE!" I call out randomly as we walk to the sidewalk to get picked up by the Uber. Cat turns to stare at me, "Oh my gosh, Vicky! You are such a weirdo!" she says with a chuckle.
I apologize for the short chapters, but I'm separating them by time skips. The next chapter is set a few days after this one so that's why.
