Author POV'S
Sumitra looks at her son and remarks, "Paridhi is such a lovely girl."
Abhimanyu nods in agreement, replying, "Yes, she's a very nice girl."
"Do you like her?" Sumitra probes.
Abhimanyu is taken aback by her question. He knows his mother wants him to marry, but he's not ready. Unable to find the words, he falls silent.
Seeing his reaction, Sumitra continues, "Listen, son, you have to think about marriage. I haven't seen you this happy in so long."
"I don't want you to end up like Thakur, remaining a bachelor," she adds, her tone firm.
"I know you admire and respect him a lot, but that doesn't mean you should follow his every step. There's a reason behind his choices."
"If you want to trouble your old mother like this at this age, then just tell me. I won't say anything more," she concludes, before leaving.
Feeling the sadness in his mother's voice, Abhimanyu's heart sinks. He loves his mother dearly, and seeing her upset pains him deeply. He reflects on her words, feeling the weight of responsibility settling on his shoulders. He doesn't want to cause his mother any more distress.
With a heavy heart, he rises from the table and retreats to his room, grappling with his emotions as he tries to sleep.
The next morning, at the breakfast table, Abhimanyu takes a deep breath, his decision made. With determination in his voice, he announces to his parents that he has agreed to the marriage. Despite his own reservations, he's willing to take this step to bring happiness to his mother's life.

At Thakur Haveli
The morning sun illuminated the majestic mansion, casting a golden glow upon its ornate architecture. The sprawling estate exuded an air of grandeur, with its intricate carvings and imposing pillars standing tall against the backdrop of the azure sky.
The courtyard, adorned with lush greenery and colorful blooms, echoed with the sounds of chirping birds and bustling activity. Maids hurried to and fro, their vibrant saris fluttering in the gentle breeze, as they swept the pathways and arranged floral decorations.
In the central courtyard, a sparkling fountain adorned with intricate sculptures served as the focal point, its soothing waters reflecting the sun's rays. Nearby, elegant peacocks strutted gracefully, adding to the picturesque scene.
Overall, Thakur Haveli exuded an aura of timeless elegance and opulence, a testament to its rich heritage and the esteemed family that resided within its walls.
The entire staff bustled about, immersed in their chores, as the morning hustle and bustle filled the air.
In the kitchen, Sachi Thakur stood, directing the maids to hasten the breakfast preparations. Despite their previous efficiency, the presence of Sachi instilled fear in them, urging them to work meticulously to avoid any mistakes, knowing all too well the consequences of displeasing her.
Just then, Kalyani Thakur entered the kitchen, causing Sachi to swiftly take the rolling pin from the maid's hand and assume the task herself.
"You continue with your work, I'll handle this," Sachi instructed.
Relief washed over the maid upon seeing Kalyani's arrival, a temporary reprieve from Sachi's intimidating presence.
Observing Sachi's sudden change in demeanor, the maids remained unfazed, accustomed to witnessing such scenes on a daily basis. They obediently resumed their tasks as directed.
